I have to write an opinion piece on whether or not it's a good idea to have a part-time job before graduating from high school.

Yes!

Why:
It gives you spending money so you don't have to rely on your parents.
You learn lots of skills you can use in the future

Not:
Having a job means you can't do as many extra-curricular activities
You have more time for homework
