Well for a bit over $600 you can get a reserved bench at MK with a canopy and potted plant included.

Here's the magic $600+ buys you in tomorrowland...

With all the dumb mistakes Disney makes nowadays, we forget about how much more we have to appreciate that is still there from the parks' past.
This is kind of how I feel. Despite the rapacious pace, the Disney of today has a long way to go before it completely eradicates the accomplishments of yesterday.

Of course, that's not exactly a wildly positive comment...

Emotional manipulation is a Pixar story staple dontcha know.
And I think it's their Achilles' heel. Pixar is my favorite animation studio...but man (and I say this less as a "concerned parent" than as a wannabe critic) do they have a tendency to take things over-the-top. Of course, you can't be "too mature", but there is such a thing as trying too hard. The incinerator scene from TS3 comes to mind. Even Up, as wonderful as it is, pulls on the heartstrings pretty blatantly. As far as this goes...it kind of just looks dark for dark's sake. I don't think "darkness" or "grittiness" is the cure for the Cars franchise any more than spy cars or redneck jokes are. The tone is interesting, but you can grasp what they're essentially yelling to the audience (namely, "how do you like Cars NOW??"), and that's not a good thing.

I agree fully. To be honest I'm getting tired of the predictability of Disney animation. They're relying on the same "big plot twist, good guy is villain, now the character everyone loves dies.. Wait! Just kidding! The character's alive! Happy ending!" trope way too much and once it starts getting predictable switching things up is the best course of action. Pixar isn't as predictable but they do have the "emotional plot twist" aspect which also gets predictable.

I wouldn't be opposed to an air conditioned lounge-type area available to everyone. Just some sofas, charging stations, maybe a movie playing in the corner for the kiddos. I know that charging people to sit down is part of their business model, but I bet it would improve guest perception.

Won't those fit in perfectly with the newly released concept art for SWL...not! They are seriously thematically appalling.

They look like they're from the people who brought you the DHS "Soundstage Lounge", so lack of theme and Home Depot furniture is pretty much the new normal when it comes to Disney luxury.
