Spirit, can you comment on the issues Uni is facing regarding Beijing finally?

My only comment is they are having major issues. It won't make their targeted opening much like SDL unless something changes drastically. They have cut unique culturally local attractions for clones. And the Jurassic World mega-attraction has sadly gotten downscaled, but still will be THE attraction in this park, much like Pirates is in Shanghai.

I may have more on this project after this week.

What else? Oh yes, we have IAAPA in O-Town this week. That's when every lifestylerwhore, every blogger, every podcaster pretends they are in the themed entertainment business along with O-Town fanbois with too much time and money etc.
It seems someone at Disney finds them funny too. Apparently their presentation today was co-hosted by an obsessed "blogger" who "interrupted" the show.

Such a shame. I really hate the clone aspect that is becoming more popular in theme parks when every park should be unique.

Oh wow. That is truly too funny. I do admit to finding it amusing that these people think Disney's reps, like Dr. Blondie, actually like them, care about them, respect them etc. These people have never worked in real media and have the savvy of an under-ripe grapefruit. They don't, fundamentally, (not all, most) get the game that is being played!

Is it still on Shanghai Pirates' level in scale?

This is very interesting to me. I haven't heard about a Jurassic World attraction yet. I run The Jurassic Park Podcast and this is right up my alley. Need. More. Info. ha Time to start digging.

Why are they so intent on doing things that cause such disruption? Surely it's a bit concerning, and they realize the tastelessness of it.
It's like they do this stuff on purpose to pi55 off the domestic fan base. It makes absolutely no sense. They've lost me as a customer. Its been 2 years since my annuals expired and I really don't miss it that much. They have made such bone headed decisions I just can't support anymore. This is another glaring example.
