In the article itself, they did admit that they broke ground before the opening of the park. Though of course the title is still misleading.
Spirit, can you comment on the issues Uni is facing regarding Beijing finally?
It seems someone at Disney finds them funny too. Apparently their presentation today was co-hosted by an obsessed "blogger" who "interrupted" the show. What else? Oh yes, we have IAAPA in O-Town this week. That's when every lifestylerwhore, every blogger, every podcaster pretends they are in the themed entertainment business along with O-Town fanbois with too much time and money etc.
My only comment is they are having major issues. It won't make their targeted opening much like SDL unless something changes drastically. They have cut unique culturally local attractions for clones. And the Jurassic World mega-attraction has sadly gotten downscaled, but still will be THE attraction in this park, much like Pirates is in Shanghai.
I may have more on this project after this week.

The false Fitzgerald/Rohde firing thing was one of the most petty things I have ever seen.but spreading a falsehood by a blogger who appears to have psychiatric issues and impulse control issues is where I do draw the line.
Is it still on Shanghai Pirates' level in scale? My only comment is they are having major issues. It won't make their targeted opening much like SDL unless something changes drastically. Such a shame. I really hate the clone aspect that is becoming more popular in theme parks when every park should be unique.
A good way to be considered associated with the companies who you want to be considered on the same level as.Anyone else notice Wanda is an IAAPA sponsor...
This is very interesting to me. I haven't heard about a Jurassic World attraction yet. I run The Jurassic Park Podcast and this is right up my alley. Need. More. Info. ha Time to start digging. My only comment is they are having major issues. It won't make their targeted opening much like SDL unless something changes drastically. It's like they do this stuff on purpose to pi55 off the domestic fan base. It makes absolutely no sense. They've lost me as a customer. Its been 2 years since my annuals expired and I really don't miss it that much. They have made such bone headed decisions I just can't support anymore. This is another glaring example. Why are they so intent on doing things that cause such disruption? Surely it's a bit concerning, and they realize the tastelessness of it.
Evil Fanboi Minions of Disney Destruction.
How much are the dues to be part of the EF-MoDD?
Especially when that JW ride could easily make its way stateside. UOR all the way.Amen! My excitement level for US Beijing has slowly transitioned from a 8-9 range down to a 4-5.
The 'best of USO/IOA' + a Jurassic World ride isn't super compelling for travel purposes.
ToT at DHS is going down and replaced with GotG. RnRc is getting re-themed.How much are the dues to be part of the EF-MoDD?
The fanboys will give Chapek a standing ovation.Do you think there will be any Tower of Terror announcements this weekend at D23? (I'm hoping not...they can't afford to lose that ride right now).
They're a Platinum sponsor along with several others. It makes your name visible but how much do people hear of the other Platinum and Gold sponsors? How many people know who Brogent or JRA are?Anyone else notice Wanda is an IAAPA sponsor...
