A visit to Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland and even Disneyland in some respects, highlights the problem that apparently is central Florida specific... ECV's and strollers! Infact, i'd argue in a lot of cases, ECV's are a safety concern for many (I'm talking about the folks who don't know how to use them properly and just rent them for vacation).

Still, i can see the appeal to jump the bus line at the end of the evening and bring my whole party on a bus whilst people who were waiting prior get left standing. It's why the ECV rental business in Lake Buena Vista is booming!

And don't get me started on the laziness of parents these days that throw a kid in a stroller or in front of an iPad screen! Still, is sooner a kid be playing Pokemon Go than being thrust on their parents shoulders whilst everyone else behind struggles to see. You can just hold your kid at adult head height and not block everyone's view behind.

Awaiting this post being deleted....

I do not want to start a debate about ECVs as this topic has been more than thoroughly covered in other forums. However, I do have one observation to make. The reason you do not see ECV's in the other Disney parks is because the USA, to a large extent, is handicapped friendly while most other places are not... Elsewhere, even in " touristy" attractions and cities, if you are not able to get around on your own two feet, you are mostly out of luck, I guess if you are handicapped or old you are supposed to stay home..
EDIT. The problems are transportation, curbs, door sills, steps and stairs.

I wonder how much mobility Groot has.

Those face characters must be really hard to cast. The animated face characters at least gives casting an opportunity to play with them.
That's what makes it even more special when they find somebody who looks like the characters. Iron Man, Captain America, and Spider-man all have masks, so it doesn't matter as much. Star-Lord, on the other hand, is much harder to cast.

Mary Poppins and Jack Sparrow are the only other non-animated, regular face characters used at the parks that I can think of, and they typically seem pretty decent.

Alice. And the Hatter if you don't count the nose prosthetic.

And every single princess. But, they're so easy to overlook.
