Or maybe we should act like him and make constant disparaging remarks about everything Disney with no basis in fact?

Ha. People on these forums often have opinions with no basis in fact, I'm not sure why you are singling out one person. There is nothing wrong with people having different opinions or perspectives. If you don't like what someone has to say, that's what the ignore button is for, or so I'm told.

Well first off, his "opinions" have little to no basis in fact, but he writes it like a proven fact. And he is, by far, the most disparaging of any person on these forums against everything Disney. And always quick to jump on the bandwagon when someone reports an issue, even if he has never experienced it himself.

Oh, and I don't put anyone on ignore ever. I love getting a good laugh at his most outrageous remarks. :D

Really? You are doubling down on 'what is wrong with @ford91exploder 's posts' ? I've only been participating on these forums for a few months but before that I've lurked for a long time. Actually I'm usually entertained by the weird feud that you and ford91exploder have going.

OTOH, it's tiresome reading posts (in general) that are designed to ostracize others. I make an exception though for posters that are being overly rude/offensive and/or trolling. I don't usually use the ignore button b/c I think that most people have something worthwhile to contribute if given the benefit of the doubt (and I have a lot of patience). But that's just me I guess. I don't have anything more to say about it and to each their own.

kinda ironic that you used an emoticon to answer a movie about moving icons ; )

still, wow they are really running out of ideas for movies...
I don't know that they're running out of ideas, its just that they don't have creative people at the tops anymore making smart decisions. This movie was likely sold based on the notion that Emoji merchandise would be an instant cash-grab. Hollywood is in the business to try and make a quick buck off of whatever it perceives the general public is going goo-goo over. Look at the Angry Birds movie. More and more animated movies are being sold and made off of the prospect of merchandise revenue. It didn't use to be this way, but this movie just proves how far the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction.

(Taken from CinemaBlend article)

"According to a press release issued by the studio, EmojiMovie: Express Yourself will explore the hidden world that rests inside of our smartphones. Hidden inside of the messaging app is a land known as Textopolis, a bustling city filled with emojis that are all hoping to be chosen by the text-sending phone user in the latest message.

Gene, an "exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions." I'm not 100% sure what that means, but the plot of the movie eventually will have Gene on a quest to be more "normal," like the rest of the emojis. He won't have to do it alone, though.

Gene and Hi-5 need tech support, so EmojiMovie: Express Yourself has hired Ilana Glazer to play notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak. Together, according to the studio, this trio embark on "an epic 'app-venture' through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it's deleted forever."

wow....

Sony Pictures Animation is a very poorly managed studio that has been run into the ground. This is the studio that wastes talent like Genndy Tartakovsky on garbage Adam Sandler movies as well as others throughout the production pipeline, rejects Lauren Faust's Medusa and Genndy's Popeye and Can You Imagine in favor of Emoji, and treats its animators at non-union Imageworks like trash. People, not ideas, make great films.

No problem @wdisney9000, My POV on Disney is that it's an entity that's being run into the ground by it's current management team and when it crashes as it certainly will the people RESPONSIBLE for the crash will simply walk off counting their loot while employees lose their jobs and retirees will take a haircut when the (looted) Pension fund is handed off to the PBGC.

There are basically two Disney's

1 - The one we have fun at in many cases for decades.
2 - Disney Corporate and their management practices

#2 Is the one I criticize and the basic reason is for the past DECADE they have done NOTHING to increase top line revenues for the corporation by innovating and creating NEW business units like ABD, DCL and DVC as previous management teams did. Every business unit except for Domestic P&R (includes DCL/DVC) and Studio Units are experiencing declines and or outright losses (Foreign P&R).

When is the LAST time I criticized a ride for other than the following TWO reasons
1 - Cutbacks to the ride concept (7DMT immediately comes to mind here)
2 - Maintenance or the lack thereof on the rides.

As to the much vaunted 'Stock Price' that can (and has for many companies) vanish overnight.
Unlike some I'm not blinded by the word "Disney" i.e. it's Disney so it must be good.

Read the book 'The True Believer' by Eric Hoffer and you will understand why they single out those who point out the holes in their belief system, Many people on this board and the one which must not be named worship Disney with the devotion usually reserved for religion.
