A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

What deadline? Universal holds the rights in perpetuity.
There is a section of the contract that states they must maintain and keep the area "up to date" or the contract gets null and void. At least from what I have picked up from searching multiple stories. In that case Marvel can void the deal if they can prove this has not happened.

Hulk was justcrebuild from the ground up. I think I head plans for fearfall somewhere as well. Marvel isn't going anywhere for a while.

Hulk was reskinned, and could easily be converted to a DC or some other package. There has been rumor that Doom's fear fall is gone, but last I heard its still there. I would add there has been rumor of an Avenger's ride coming, once Doom's ride and other items are gone, but nothing done on it.

Again, this is just my speculation, coming from what I Have read, and some recent rumors that are floating about. I personally can't see how Universal can keep building more in IOA or other area, AND start their third park in Orlando.

I liked Jungle Book but...
I know but why not start from the beginning. Where's the live action show white?
I think Disney's avoiding it because of the bad taste from Universal's attempts.

It's simple. Unlike Disney they have a drive to build, build, build.

It also helps that Comcast is fully behind the parks.

Anyone notice that Disney is following Universal's lead at this point? Nothing is sacred anymore, that's the mantra that Universal popularized and now Disney is adopting. They're trying to have such a short turnaround for attractions like Universal that nobody cries when the attraction is inevitably changed over because it wasn't there for 60 years. Seems like that's the route they're taking to me, although admittedly a land based on Avatar seems to be a misstep off of said route.

We shall see. Disney's hand is still being played. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised but I'm keeping my expectations in check.
Pretty much, but, there was alot of push back when Uni took the axe to the beloved Jaws attraction. Goodbye practical effects, hello 'screens' :-(

Wonder how it will compare with Olivier's version.

The contract just calls for maintenance. There is no refresh schedule. Stop reading stories and read the contract.
