A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

Perhaps, but terrible trailers, plus the rumors of it sucking terribly.
Now you add the fact that a huge group of young men are hating it "for adding women to their precious franchise".
Its kinda a recipe to disaster.
Hopefully the movie will end ok.
I still remember those hating star wars because it had a black main character and a white girl.(Rey and Finn).
Don't agree there's a huge number of men hating this because of women being in it. It's really just an obnoxious minority of internet trolls (mostly kids).

There were a few people trolling Star Wars for similar reasons, but it really did not affect the movie's overall feedback and the trailers were extremely well received unlike Ghostbusters. The negativity for Ghostbusters is simply because it looks bad, the troll minority are a extremely negligible part of that far larger negativity. The film studio and certain media outlets (along with extremist opposites of the also extreme MRAs) are trying to blow this misogyny thing way out of proportion. It's actually kind of petty and immature how they have chosen to target and burn anyone with a less than positive reaction as haters of women.

Well, there we have it. What about what I said about OLC's relationship with WDI and paying for their R&D of things like the trackless ride vehicles?

OLC and Disney are like parents who stay together for the children. Neither particularly cares for each other, but they have a child to take care of so they suck it up.

To say that OLC hasn't been impressed with much of what Disney has proposed to them in the past few years would be an understatement.

Yes and no. They've really screwed this up and I don't think the fault can be laid solely at the feet of WDI. After FY2021? For those keeping track this project is now officially more delayed than Avatar.

I don't understand what is up with the ridiculous (WDW-like) glacial pace OLC is operating on.

Their upkeep, attraction refurbs and entertainment refreshes are industry leading. But when it comes to a resort to resort comparison of who added the most attractions this decade (including all the Uni resorts) Tokyo is dead last. TSMM and a two decade late Soarin make for a miserable 10 years. All when attendance and revenue continues to skyrocket and the parks are ridiculously overstuffed.

I'm very happy with how the start of next decade looks for them, but I've pretty much written them off this one.
I actually wonder, its related to how expensive construction and land properties are in Japan?

I think its because they want to spearhead this movie as part of the feminist movement, sort of a flagship.
Which is kinda strange. As Scarlet Johanson has had more diverse roles that could be seen as pinnacle of the movement.
But those who are feminists can correct me, after all I'm male and I still dont understand the whole debacle about this ghost busters movie.

As for the "edgy kids" insulting TFA.. Definitively more than a few kids. The trailer videos were filled with them, tumblr as well.
Almost felt like it was an operation from 4chan to "rustle the jimmies" of honest people on the internet.

Not sure if this has been talked about yet but apparently there could be a Disney uber like system headed to WDW. As tpi article showed there is a survey about this. I personally don't think it's necessary or worth it considering all of the free transportation but I guess it would be quicker than bus.

And waaaay more expensive than uber if Disney or Mears are selling it!

I can see that working. Take a bunch of local existing Uber drivers paint characters on their cars, stick some mouse ears on top, pump Disney music through their car stereos, charge four times as much, and bingo you have Magical Cars that wealthy guests will take to feel like they're a class above the masses on the buses, not realising/caring that they could have got the same journey for a couple of dollars with a regular Uber. Disney and Uber (or whoever they partner with) could both make a killing.

This is a fanboy fabrication. WDI was unable to deliver expansion designs in a timely manner.

Just ask any property manager in Tokyo about getting major work done in the next two years and you will get a very polite it's not happening until the Olympic construction is done. I'm sure delays with WDI contributed as well.

This is VERY true, OLC is also questioning the numbers involved in the WDI projects because similar projects are coming in from UNI creative at 20-40% of WDI's cost.

A truly wealthy guest will have a black car service waiting for their Gulfstream on the ramp at MCO.

Yep. I have Internet through Brighthouse (soon to be Charter).

With my tier of Vue I get 75+ channels and DVR for $35. My internet only package at 25 mps is $50. So $85 total.

My previous HD cable/internet package was advertised at $99 but after taxes and rental fees it was nearly $130.

That's a huge difference. Plus I get several Big Ten and ESPN channels now, something I'd have to upgrade to before.
I work for Brighthouse, now Charter.

More fodder for the internet radicalized Disney Extremists.
