UK votes to leave the EU. The pound sterling is dropping to 30 year lows against the dollar.

Impact on British tourism to Central Florida. Discuss.
What I'm baffled is how economies that have nothing to do with the UK are getting hard hit as well.
Mexico took a beating and we hardly have any ties (economically) to the UK.
aah the joys of globalization and global capitalism!

You know what's funny?

But I am sure you have strong ties to the EU...which has just lost one of their major contributors..not to mention the ties the EU has with the US...and the ties the US has with Mexico...as you basically mentioned, it is all connected nowadays.

They had a much more energetic program in the past to keep people safe from poison snakes, and alligators. I'm not afraid of grass snakes, just the poison ones. I realize you can't catch every poison snake. I'm glad to see they have posted signs alerting people about them. We researched how to combat poison snakes, yes I've been around many of them in my childhood. We will use the recommended protections. Will not hurt wild life , but may protect people who innocently come across a very big threat. Just like my young grandson. He was walking along a path minding his own business when he was confronted by a poison snake. Put yourself in our position, We are happily walking along, and had to run backward to not be bitten. Not what anyone going to lunch is thinking about.

Just remember THIS when you see snakes in FL

Red Touch Yellow Kills a Fellow
Red Touch Black Venom Lack

For the pedantic there ARE a couple of snakes which match the first rule and are non-venomous, But you need to be a an expert on snakes to tell the difference So...

Indexes.

People bailing out of Global Funds, International Funds, etc. to rid themselves of UK/EU exposure (as well as US Domestic Funds that have some companies that do a lot of business there).

It's all Jack Bogle's fault... :D

Or, it just might be a 'red tag' sale for equities... (except $DIS of course, can't touch until the 'Iger Bubble' pops).

One more 'Fire George' thought:

I was just looking for a post that suggested 6 or 7 should be shown the door (perhaps it's further back then I looked or it's in another thread).

From what's been posted, there's more then enough for George to be relieved of his duties...

As far as anyone else, there has to be an investigation.

And a question that has to be asked is did the person have the authority to prevent it, not simply a title (in some companies, Managers are glorified 'team leaders' who have no real power).

What should definitely NOT happen is a bunch of lower level employees/management (who weren't allowed to use discretion) who are just trying to make ends meet are sacrificed to protect those higher up who truly share responsibility...

And an investigation needs to be done about the Swamp Bungalows. Did they know that this would create a gator problem? And if they didn't know until later, did they figure this out before or after they decided to add Wilderness Swamp Bungalows?...

In some companies the managers, to change anything, need to do a couple powerpoints in front of their bosses, who in turn have a series of meetings "rolling it up" to their bosses who may allow the change if the manager made a good enough pitch.

Or, the manager may just not bother because the headache isnt worth it, but I agree, many are glorified team leaders.

yeah, except Mexico's economy seems to go down when the USA is doing well, goes down when the UK and China farts.. the only way it goes up is when the oil goes up. XD

Can we all just agree that this looks incredible?

You know, the way that GIF runs, I'd be afraid that the land involved being immersed in an incredible Na'vi nostril. (For my part, I don't think that's an incredible sight I should have to buy a pass to see.)

This somehow seems like the kind of thing that might get extended, or at least might crop up during the side ticketed events at MK, for the remainder of the year. Probably depends on how it does, of course.
