If Disney buys 20th Century Fox, what kind of rights does that give them for theme parks?

Every one of their movies has like five production companies and then them as the distributor, I suppose that doesn't give Disney any rights? My Titanic ride idea will still have to wait? But my Deadpool ride is coming to the Magic Kingdom? I must know, help me out.

We'll finally get that live-action Anastasia remake

Ewww, hell no. Echo lake in DHS would be expanded and a life-size RMS Titanic would be near the far end. It would house a ton of unique things other than the ride, possibly including a restaurant, theater, even a hotel. It could also serve as a backdrop for a nighttime spectacular on the water. The stellar ride would be indoor/outdoor where you experience the ship sinking and all, and of course it'd be based on the JC movie. The Titanic held a lot of glitz and glamour in its glory until disaster struck, not unlike the stellar eye-catching attraction on the other side of the park. There would be striking similarities in storytelling. This would be a great beautiful addition, fit the theme of the park better than most other, and be a great multi-purpose facility which I feel Disney could do more often.

I'm rambling, and will one day post in full in the Imagineering section, but that's the gist of the idea.
Oh, so THAT'S why Star Wars went into Streets of America...

Nothing says, "We're the biggest film giant since the 1930s!" like reenacting the death of 1.5 thousand people every half hour.

Totally off-topic, but I'm pretty sure Marty Sklar knew how to spell "lose".Could you fix that in your signature please?

Are you aware that there was a Thea Award wining Titanic theme park attraction? It was at Fox Studios Australia and had two versions, first class and steerage. The steerage version ended with you dying.

The Oscars are basically Hollywood patting itself on the back and a fashion show combined. I'm sure it would have an affect on which talent would be willing to work with Disney, but there are actors, actresses, and directors, etc. out there who really don't care about the awards shows.
I'm not sure if this is even true, actors average an 81% jump in salary after a win. More importantly the movie companies and producers certainly do, the 2016 nominated films saw an increase of 250 million in revenue after the Oscar nod (69% of their revenue came after the nomination).

And besides taking the side of a huge multiconglomerate media goliath (the kind that has not been seen since the heyday of MGM in the 30's) that tried to stifle the free press just seems wrong. You can agree/ or disagree with their story or if you think it was slanted that should be besides the point.

I had no idea. Thank you. Looks like it was really good, too bad the park's gone.

I should mention that I kind of stole my idea from the full-scale recreation of the ship currently being built in China, which you probably know about. It'll have restaurants, a theater, a pool, hotel rooms, and more. Problem is, the actual sinking story attraction was cut, but it should still be interesting. The whole thing has gotten plenty of criticism.

I read something about that a looong time ago while I was reading up on some historic Titanic stuff. I agree though, it really is in poor taste to make the deaths of so many people into a form of entertainment.

Wouldn't that make titanic the movie poor taste, as well as every other movie based on war, disasters, true crime, shufflers list etc, along with books, tv shows video games

I should have been more specific...entertainment that is meant to be "fun". The movies remind us that life is precious and of the gravity of what happened...they're way more respectful than a theme park ride.
