WDAS has contributed three in recent years: Naveen (2009), Flynn Rider (2012), Hans (2013, although not a romantic lead prince). Assuming Kristoff marries Anna in Frozen 2, he'll be next in 2019. I believe Gigantic will feature a male lead, but I don't know if he's royalty.

And Kristoff and Maui show two strong male characters who advance the plot in a princess movie who are not about wooing the princess or getting the girl.

So.. a variety of characters. Kinda hard to pigeonhole them as the Federalist and @ford91exploder would like to do.

Of course, the trash article also disregards Wreck-It Ralph and Big Hero 6, both of which featured male leads worth looking up to. But it wouldn't be the Federalist if facts weren't conveniently left out to fit a false narrative!

And we always wonder what @WDW1974 thinks about 25 pages of movie talk when park operations is more his pervue. I can see if he just says screw it and leaves for greener pastures.

He himself brings up out of the blue how poorly the MCU Spider-Man Homecoming movie seemed to be doing at first. And again when he realized it had, in fact, did very well, reminds us it's a Sony movie. So, he has shown he loves movie discussions in his narrowly focused threads. The more movie discussions, the happier he'll be!!!

Sorry to go off topic (do we have a topic in this thread still?), but I just watched the 3rd episode of Star Trek Discovery. HOLY FREAKING COW that was awesome! CBS is so stupid for only showing 1 hour on broadcast television and then pushing the rest to streaming subscribers only. I am now 100% hooked on this show. It felt a little like Next Gen, definitely a bit like DS9 (Dominion war arc episodes) and yet felt completely new at the same time. The acting was good. It was cinematic. Some strange choices sure, but had they shown the 1st three episodes on TV before moving to a subscriber only model, they would have snagged a lot more viewers. Can't wait for next weeks episode! :joyfull:

Yeah sure. Fake news if I ever have seen it.

Who and when was the last character added to the prince stable?

Does Groot count?

Never mind their films, what Disney really needs to get on is cleaning up the comics division before sales get any worse. It's like they're actively trying to run it into the ground.

Thanks for posting this. I've been on the fence about whether to purchase, but now I think I should get it.

Cool man. The 1st two episodes are pretty decent but the third episode is where I became a fan. I've heard some people say they are going to wait till the season is done and then just binge the whole season in a month to save the fees. I had started to do that, but I'm just too impatient to wait that long. lol!

In general, I couldn't care less about the music. I love animation, however, and that's what keeps me going to the films. BatB may be the exception only because the Beasts transformation resonates with me, BH6 is one of my recent favorites as is Tangled due to the male leads. If a film gets too "girly", count me out.

I love it but the klingon prosthetics are TERRIBLE!!! The actors can barely move their mouths. All their speech is muffled so badly and I really wish they went a different route with the make up. That is my only gripe though, other than that, fantastic job. Very cinematic and beautifully shot.

Yeah they made some weird choices with the look of the Klingons but I absolutely love the intricate design work inside their ships. Also, why is Michael named Michael? She needs a nickname stat (just not Mickey apparently lol). I mean I guess I get it, but I definitely don't like the name choice.

I hear what you're all saying about Gaston, but I think we're going to have to agree to disagree here.

And give them a little more credit for their combat abilities. One stabbed himself with his own batleth and the other had his hands full with an elderly Asian woman.

lol! That's true, but in the poor Klingon's defense, the Asian woman was once Master Li Mu Bai's girlfriend and had some mystical Wudang training...so shes gonna be a handful for pretty much anyone.
