I have doubts that the Disney Fox merger should be approved. However a Comcast Fox merger is much worse. Disney and Universal are really the top 2 studios in the country and allowing either to buy 21st Century Fox raises market power issues. The idea of allowing Comcast to own the number of channels and the distribution would be crazy. Distrbutors of television channels should not be allowed to own channels, just like movie studios are not allowed to own theatres. Break Comcast up, stop the AT&T merger, and let competition work.

Man I would honestly prefer to see Disney buy Fox then Comcast. Comcast is such a huge monopoly that adding Fox's IP to theirs would create an unbalance in an already top heavy market.
Disney wouldn’t be much better in that regard.

Doesn’t Disney own the El Capitan, or do you mean chains of theaters?

False...according to new reporting its due to the anti trust deals.
Anti-trust deals meaning the Fox Broadcast Network being incompatible with NBC? Cause Disney is in the same position with ABC. Fox is just spinning it off. Hard to see anti-trust being the issue here, especially when it seems the Murdochs never wanted to sell the whole company in the first place.

Also, the only reason DOJ is going after the AT&T-Time Warner deal is CNN, we all know that. While the administration can't wait to please the Murdochs any way they can.

More so most of the cable networks and regional sports overlap....which would make Comcast super powered and highly likely to divest

Show runner-Producer Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Crime/Horror Story) will be leaving Fox/FX for Netflix once his current deal expires. Murphy is one of FX’s most important talents who would have been key in building up Hulu as Disney’s adult streaming service. Basically it’s like ABC losing Shonda Rhimes, not a problem today, but will be a big loss in the years to come.

They are probably going to lose Dan Fogelman who left Disney For Fox because he didn't like what they did to his work after his contract is up to.
