Slight Correction: It will become a favourite of the larger number of Wars fans around the world ;)
Maybe, but have you watched all five episodes? I'm telling you it has a lot of science and is very much Star Trek, though I think what we are seeing is the beginning of Section 31...which freaking rocks. The pilot was VERY different than the rest of the show, if you haven't watched the other episodes. Trust me. Join me The Jobu, and together we can...oh nevermind, wrong universe.

You are right, to be fair I haven't seen the other episodes yet. Also TNG, which I consider the best TV show of all time, needed a whole season before it got good.

I have no doubt its good.
I will not (at this time) send money to spectrum who carries CBS
Then turn right back around and send more money to CBS for the opportunity to watch Star Trek.
(Disney/ESPN, are you listening??)
I do not have fault with anyone who does.
Oh well, I'm guessing someone will put it out there some other way for all the pirates of the intertubes at some point. For me, I'd happily throw more money at them for this though. Totally worth whatever they are charging my credit card. :joyfull:

TNG is my favorite too. I miss that show so much! And yeah, the first few episodes were good, but not anywhere near as strong as it was after it found it's groove.

Catch-all threads fill a very important role on a forum. They allow conversations to flow naturally without having to make an entire thread just because you started talking about something else. If not for the catch-all thread, we'd see conversations going off tangent all the time. Catch all threads are very healthy for a forum and allow members of a shared interest (in our case WDW) to converse freely about WDW and other little things that may pop up during conversation.

Except they also run off participation for those who aren't engaged 24/7... because things get buried.

It's worse to find things, it's worse for search, and serves only a handful of people typically.

Tangents/drifts are one thing... Dumpsters are another.

Yes, it was. I still don't understand why EPCOT closes at 9 pm and clearly Spirit felt the same way 10 years ago.......
Epcot looks so good at night and should at least stay open till around 10 or 11. Then again knowing the current state of Epcot that won't change anytime soon. Especially since most guests only get a glimpse of this as they are leaving after Illuminations.

I wish more guests spent more time around this area.

I suppose it might be a scheduling issue, but don't understand why they don't keep at least WS open until 10 - particularly during Food & Wine. One would think that's a lot of extra revenue they are missing out on.
I find it incredibly bizarre that WS isn't open later, I can guarantee there would be a huge crowd around until at least midnight. Is it a labor issue? From what I've read it seems that the festivals at EPCOT are practically minting money, I can't even imagine how much more revenue would be brought in if the park didn't close so early.

Did Epcot always stay open till 9pm or that wasn't always the case? Has it been like that since the 80's?

I'm not much of a pirate, but I agree someone will put it out there.

Oh, every episode already shows up five minutes after it's posted, LOL.

It's why making it exclusive to streaming as an effort to make CBS Now is so idiotic. People who stream stuff don't seem to mind waiting, and it's going to be on US Netflix at the end of the season, anyway. Or people can just wait until each season segment (my understanding is that it's going to be broken up into two parts, the second airing in the spring) and get the two-week trial, watch it, and cancel.

Basically, you can't launch a service with a single show. It works for HBO because they have a breadth of content that CBS Now just doesn't offer. CBS was just really silly to do this entire venture - they should have just signed up with Hulu like everyone else, and been done with it.

They close the parks early in general because when it's open late, even the MK can be a "one day park" for most visitors. With Epcot in particular, it's because they want people to go to DTD/Disney Springs to continue drink and dine.

Basically, it's all about manipulation, one way or another. In the case of the former, they want you to think you need a full 7-days to experience the parks. On the latter, I'm sure that they have done the calculations and found that if they were open till, say, 10PM on the weeknights, then less of those people would go to DTD instead of back to their rooms, as opposed to a 9PM closing, when they are more likely to want to go find something else to do.

In the 80s, I always visited Horizons after the fireworks!

No line at that hour, and made for a great end to an EPCOT day. EPCOT evenings were spend getting drunk on the greatest rides on the planet back then, not on a WS open air bar.
