Day 2, Part 4: Tomorrowland! and FP+
DH wanted to check out space mountain and Tomorrowland so we walked over that way.
We spotted these two on the way...just hanging out.
Swung by Stitch's Great Escape first. It was right in front of us and had a 10 min wait. Plus, we were hot... (had long pants on from traveling).
I actually kind of liked Stitch. We were quite annoyed though as a family was right beside use during one of the intro parts and the mom and one kid ran off and then another ran off screaming after the mother. The father then proceeded yell at the kid, then to the mother and then to loudly talk through the entire intro section (in Spanish too, so it's not like I even knew what he was saying to understand if there was a valid reason for it). DH and I were quite annoyed by the time the intro ended so we ran to the other side of the seated part so we wouldn't be near the guy. DH said he could still hear the guy yakking during the entire thing, but luckily I couldn't. I have a lot of patience for kids, but not so much for adults.
After Stitch we check Space Mountain, but the line was too long so we rode the People Mover. I know this gets a little bit of a bad rep, but we really enjoyed it. Boy does it whip you around those corners! It was cool to take another little "tour" of the park and check things out. Up next was Carousel of Progress (b/c after 18 years, you kind of have to do it...).
Then it was time for our Peter Pan FP+. DH said he felt a little weird just walking right on when there was quite a long line and it looks like a kiddie ride for the outside. But we were both happy we rode it! We loved this! It was so neat and we can't wait to ride on our next trip (will def get FP though...the line is nuts!).
It wasn't quite time for our third FP+ -- Mickey's Philharmagic, and It's a Small World was posted as 15 min wait so we decided to do that. Unfortunately the posted time was wrong. We stood in line for more than 15 mins -- it looked like there was a boat back-up or something, not really sure, but the loading and unloading was moving very slowly. Once we were on the ride was great! However, the boats again got backed up and actually bumped into each other during the last scene. We were at a dead stand-still for about 5 minutes. By the time we got out we had to decide if we wanted to do Mickey's Philharmagic or risk missing our reservation. The foodies that we are, we chose dinner.
