A "Real" Toontown for MK?

My first thoughts on this were that it was too heavily princess themed. But, when I stopped to think about it, almost all of MK has been themed with a slant toward boys. There's Stitch, Space Mountain, Speedway, Pirates, Tom Sawyer Island, Jungle Cruise, and a few others. Sure, all of those can be enjoyed by girls too, but think about the theming and stories there, and they're mostly geared toward boys. So, yes, while the makeover for Fantasyland is geared toward girls, it will help balance out the kingdom.

I don't think Stitch is slanted for humans...

I brought up this idea a little while back in another thread, but they could easily make a restaurant themed around the House of Mouse tv show in toontown. I realize that it'd be weird having a big screen just playing mickey cartoons since the sci-fi diner is in the same park, but I'm sure they'd be able to make it work

I'd still bet Pixie Hollow is not a sure thing until they see how well the new TB movie does on DVD. The circus theming and location of the Dumbo area is too much of coincidence also – it would fit in perfectly if TTF stays. AND let's also remember that they changed Dumbo and the Pixie's locations – IMO so that TTF could stay if they so choose.

Also, Rasulo said "and SOMEDAY when our plans are realized IN THE FUTURE..." talking about Pixie Hollow. Why wouldn't he have just said "In 2013 when we are finished,,," My thoughts are that Rasulo is fighting this part of the expansion tooth and nail in order to save money.

I bet TB tanks (let's face it the first one stunk out loud) and TTF stays but gets a rehab.

Another idea....Train Ride aboard Casy Junior to a remote area ala Rafiki's Watch over in DAK.

Just another thought from me while I try to do Finite Math...:lookaroun:lol:

I like that idea. But like someone else said, toontown may be better in mgm. It would be cool at either MK or mgm, but I think it would fit better there because it would set itself apart from DL and the other parks who have toontowns near fantasyland. And plus, WDW has something no other disney resort has, and thats all that space.

It will be cool if they kept Toontown, plus the new Fantasyland. But, I doubt they will do that. But I hope they can put Mickey and Minnie's house in a new location. That is why people go to Toontown.
Will they retheme Goofy Barnstormer to a Pixie Hollow theme? Since they say they are trying to save it but retheme it. Because I heard Toontown will be the Pixie Hollow section.

Other than Mickey & Minnie's house there isn't much worth saving in WDW's Toontown. House moving is always a possibility (sounds like a Discovery Channel special for Mega Movers). Even if they bulldoze the houses Disney warehouses the unique pieces for future reuse in the parks. Hopefully a real and unique Toontown can be built in the future.

I see why people would want a new toontown. But I'd rather have something new. Something WDW Exclusive.

...villians...fantasmic is the only thing that gets me my villians fix...:(

Thanks. Honestly, I'm thinking Pixie Hollow will be a 7th land.

Seeing that, unless they want to have 8 lands in MK, I could really see it in DHS...Which, needs it.

Disney can not prolong intellectual property rights to the Fab Five indefinately. The rights to Mickey, Donald and friends will in the foreseeable future expire.

Princesses and new franchises, like Stitch (the new Donald) and the fairies, seem to be the direction Disney needs to move in to.

A Toontown / Duckburg may never come to pass anymore.

I thought because they were trademarked, or something to the effect. I can't imagine there would be no way to protect characters like that, otherwise in 15-20 years Image Comics can start publishing Superman, Batman which would def hurt DC sales.

I know this has been discussed here before but a search yielded no answers - does anyone remember the answer?

So I have a thought of a new place to locate ToonTown.
I realize they just tore down the Tomorrowland theater to build parking and that there is probably utilidor access back there but here is my thought.
So off Mainstreet they have the little "east" street, my idea is extend it and locate Toontown behind the mainstreet buildings that way they are out of view and do not ruin the show and they could add a berm like the one between FL and LS to separate the themes. I figure by doing this the Managment can take a hike and park elsewhere giving the Fab Five (who are way more important) their home back, and we will have an added pathway to Tomorrowland. Just a thought!

Seriously....I actually think some sort of deal is in the works to combat that.
