the biggest property in the theme park world. Yes, bigger than Potter.

Oh sorry, I must have missed the memo about Disney opening that new Arrendale section at Magic Kingdom with ships that will transport you to the rest of New Fantasyland.

Please. To say that this:

Is on par with this:

Is quite frankly an insult to the intelligence of everyone on this board. Disney is NOT giving the people what they want. They are throwing in quick and cheaply produced schlock to short-term capitalize on a success that they know damn well they will be unlikely to repeat in the next decade.

Disgusting. And shameful that Cinderella is being removed from the lighting of her own castle.

How long before Cinderella Castle gets wholly transformed into Elsa's Palace?
You didn't get the memo from Roy...change is good, we need to 'move on' so 5 yr olds can enjoy the hot product that is out now no matter what original idea Walt Disney himself decided to center the whole park around.

Poor Elsa, all this hate and she did nothing wrong.

She froze an entire town, abandoned her sister, left the town to die... she did PLENTY wrong!
Oh, and Cinderella didn't light her own castle, the Fairy Godmother did.

In fairness, she seemed legitimately surprised to find out about any of that.

But wait, act now and you can also get this for even more Frozen excitement.:rolleyes::arghh::facepalm::banghead::banghead::banghead:

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ywood-studios-frozen-holiday-premium-package/
Offered November 7 – 19, November 21 – December 9 and December 11 – January 4, 2015, this package includes reserved seating for a performance of “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” at the Premiere Theatre, and reserved Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights viewing and Frozen-themed dessert party (which will feature mini Anna cupcakes and mini Elsa cupcake, among other delicious treats) in the evening, and a holiday themed lithograph and “Frozen” pin.

The package costs $89 per adult and $59 per child (ages 3 – 9), plus tax (gratuity is included). Valid theme park admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required and is not included in this package price.

It's coming... Disney isn't done shoving this crap down our throats yet...

Somewhere in the dark recesses of the utilidors, there's a master plot brewing to bring the Frozen Holiday Soiree to the MCMVP... When all the people get super ed that they paid $89/person to not even meet with A&E, they're gonna want blood, so Disney is gonna give them the Frozen Soiree for $99/person DURING the party so that they can then take A&E, Olaf and Kristoff out of the park and into the "Frozen Castle" that was just 'iced' over...

It's coming... wait and see...

Given the success of the Villain's Soirée at MNSSHP, I would say an up charge event at Very Merry is an absolute certainty.

I've been saying it all along. They knew Frozen would be big, but with how the summer thing went at DHS and people wanting more, they had to have a test. The VSS was thrown together at the last minute. It was obviously a success (as people have come out and said that "yes, I'll buy my way out of ANY line for a hot character") and Disney is just waiting for the right time to upsell the Frozen Soiree.

I just forsee that if A&E, Olaf or Kristoff are going to be pulled from the park itself and made only available at this event, it won't be $99, it's going to be more... A LOT more.

By the way, I'm not a fan of Frozen either, it's cute but I had no desire to see Elsa, the parade or even visit Oaken's. However, if Disney wants to let Frozen run in their parks for 3 years, let 'em. It's their product and not all folk who love it can drop everything to make a quick trip to Disney to see it all.

I think Disney wants to send a message - if you don't have young girls, if you're not interested in Frozen, you're no longer welcome at the parks. Please take your dollars and spend your vacations elsewhere, and come back in a few years when there might be something of interest.

But for now, they are trying to attract a specific demographic and doing their best to get the 'undesirables' (people without kids, older people etc.) out of the way to make more space for those that spend the most money on overpriced junk.

If we're to play the strange game of bent reality, then Elsa is a queen and can do whatever the heck she wants. Now, that assumes we maintain the "Disney princess" concept and she's therefore a "Disney Queen". Otherwise, her jurisdiction over Cinderella's castle would be suspect, she'd be "squatting", and forced removal would be reasonable.

Oh no, I've just worked out what the next big Disney merch approach is going to be. Disney Princesses are on their way out, replaced by Disney Royals. We'll have Kings, Queens and Princes to go with the Princesses... Royal Families are the next big thing, and will also be the next big marketing promotion I suspect... woe betide any parents who don't get a Bibbidi Bobbidi style makeover to be the king or queen of their family!

Let's just hope that Anna and Elsa don't say there's a mouse problem and that they need it exterminated...

I can't wait for Nov 5th! For A Frozen Holiday Wish to hit out of the park like always!! I'm especially looking forward to the pyro in int the show! At least, I think that's pyro above the castle in the concept art. If I'm mistaken, sorry.

Little Mermaid has existed for over 20 years. Everything you listed was not added within the span of a year, but piecemeal over time. The ride wasn't even DESIGNED until the film neared its 20th anniversary. The reason people feel like Frozen is being overdone is because all of these changes are coming on fast and strong. The film hasn't even been out in the public eye for a year and in that short span of time we've gotten a meet and greet, a parade float, a merchandise area/stage show, a seasonal castle show and an announcement of a classic Epcot attraction being rethemed to the film.

But you shouldn't wait 20 years to integrate the movie in the parks. It should happen now.

Again, the problem is that everything has been really cheaply done

You shouldn't wait 20 years nor should you cram it down people's throats in the span of a year. A few years down the road and I'm sure it would have seemed a lot less of an issue.

And besides that it wasn't 20 years before anything Little Mermaid related was added. There was a Little Mermaid section in Spectromagic as early as 1992, as well as in Fantasmic at Disneyland. They had an Ariel meet and greet before even the 2000's at Magic Kingdom and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid has been at DHS almost as long as the park has existed. The only things that weren't integrated until recently were the ride and the more elaborate Ariel's grotto.
