I've been sending a postcard every other day for about 4 months now and still haven't been lucky enough to win anything:(.

So my questions are:
1) How many postcards did you mail before you won something?
2) How long did it take you to win?
3)What did you win?

1. we were sending in 2 postcards a day for three months or so.
2. i believe it took 4 months before we saw anything, maybe it was even 5 months
3. so far we have won 3 pairs of mickey dream ears. :sohappy:

we haven't been sending in the cards for awhile now, but i really need to get back into sending them regularly.

I'm going to expand to ask HOW you sent them in. I plan on starting with the new YOMD for '08 - so not until December. Did you actually print your information on a postcard for the world to see with the mailing address on the other? Call me strange, but something about having my name, address, phone and DOB visible to anyone is a bit weird - though cheaper as a post card than putting in an envelope.

I did send mine in postcard format- just those ready stamped ones that the post office sell.

It is kind of weird having that info out there, but really people can find it anyway- it doesn't have your ssn or anything. I have heard of people sending theirs in envelopes and disney says in the new rules that you can, so that is always an option.

I have sent them in for the last two months. One for my wife and one for me. I use an index card inside the envelope with all the correct info on the index card. We have each won a lanyard with two pins (YOMD) and a set of ears (YOMD). The ears say Disneyland on them and the lanyard and pins say Disney World. They come certified mail with a return receipt. I guess they want to make sure you get them.:lol::lol:

I sent in two cards a day since February (one for me and one for my fiance), and I won a pin lanyard under my name at the end of August.

I also use a 4X6 index card and 26 cent stamps.

1) I send mine in randomly. I send one a day, whenever I think about it. It's not an every day thing. It's a once-every-couple-weeks thing generally.

2.) First time I won (ears) it was about a month or so after sending in postcards. I had probably sent in a dozen or so up to that point.

3.) I won a pair of ears in April and another pair of ears last month. The second pair of ears was a surprise since I hadn't send in cards for about two months prior. (Ran out and forgot to get more stamps.)

4.) Unasked but thought I'd share: I sent in about a dozen random postcards; promotional ones and such that I'd gathered from various events and just added handwritten to and from with a stamp.

After I ran through those, I picked up the pre-paid postage cards from the post office and again added handwritten to address and contest information.

To date, I've probably sent no more than 20-25 cards in and have won twice. Both of mine came via US Post Office, certified and registered. (Meaning I had to sign for them.) Both boxes the return address was Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL. (I assume since I'm in Florida, any wins would come from WDW due to proximity.) Now if only I could win some pins!!

Hope that helps!

Is anyone aware of a BIG prize winner via mail-in?
A trip/vacation?
DVC ownership?

Seems like most get the mouse ears (which is certainly better than nothing).

I was wondering about the bigger prizes as well. It seems like everone is either winning ears or lanyards through mail in entries.

I can't believe some of you guys have won twice from the mail!

I haven't won anything from either the park or the mail.
I must have visited over two dozen times in the past year since it started and not only have I not won in the parks, but I've never even seen anyone else win either. I'm floored I've won twice through the mail. I have awful luck.

Would the contest be open, if I were to mail in from CANADA???
Yup.

I began mailing 1 postcard a day during the first week of May and ended towards the end of August. I probably won something around mid to late July. I heard it can take 55 days from they day you win to receive your prize. I have won three times and they were all Mickey ears. 2 from DL & 1 from WDW. I am hoping I will win some pins or better yet a bigger prize like a trip. Anyways I started mailing the cards when I ended school and quit mailing cards when I started back, but I just might start back up again. The time it took between prize 2 and 3 was about 6 weeks because I get my hair cut on Wednesdays every six weeks and oddly enough I received my prize the last 2 times I got my hair cut lol.
