Not saying its true but some companies are actually proactive when it comes to changes in life safety code and dont just keep things status quo because of "grandfathering". I can think of a few times the mouse made changes it didnt need to.

The crane goes down during the day behind the castle. They only use it at night.

Me, too. I just don't get it. I know I am old and cranky, but even if I was young and sweet, I still woundn't want to see this crap at Disney. :shrug:

i overheard an entertainment manager say that they will be putting most of the lights up this week, so that most construction (liberty square bridge and lights) during the same period to get it over with. And also that projected attendance is less for the coming week or 2 than the rest of the year so less guests will complain.

Yeah, forget all that crap about creating quality entertainment that the entire family can enjoy. Maybe Disney should get in the business, too, that will be quite profitable.

It was my understanding that Space Mountain doesn't meet current Fire Exit codes and when the full queue is used, too many people are in there without enough exits.
The line stretching out into Tommorowland used to be done on purpose. CM's used to make the line go out there to make the wait time look longer than it actually is to keep wait times down. This was standard practice actually years ago. But once Fast Pass came into existance they no longer use the lanes anyway.
Maybe with the renovation of SM will they make better use of this space.

Anyway, the Space Mountain queue has been a source of annoyance for me for years. Space Mountain is one of the most major attractions Disney has, and it has one of the most pathetic queues now. I used to LOVE waiting in the Space Mountain queue and watching those corny space segments on the televisions under the shooting stars. Now they took the TV's away and they don't even let people use those queues. I don't understand why they can't fill them? It's so much nicer waiting up in the mountain under the stars instead of in the tunnel.

I like the lights on the castle. As far as I'm concerned they could stay up year round.
It looks more magical than Christmasy (is that a word?) to me.

When are they filming her party in front of the castle? I will be there in 7 days for 9 days. My son would love to see her while we are there.
Also, if she will not be there, I hope the castle is completed for when we are there.:shrug:
