MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Eeeh, land is probably fine. Soarin sells ILL’s. The restuants do well. Also behind the seeds tour probably the pavilions saving grace.
The seas I wouldn’t be suprised to be gone at some point. The ride is a walk on, it costs alot to maintain, less populated. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney thinks they can get away with it because it isn’t a “beloved” pavilion like imagination or land. I genuinely think that if Disney wanted to, they could unfortunately get away with closing seas.

But that rumor they heard is a retread of an old rumor pre pandemic so grain of salt and all that. Even IF it’s true, and that’s IF, we still probably have a good while with them.

The current version of Seas, yeah. It's just an aquarium with a terrible Nemo ride shoehorned into a space that wasn't intended to host an attraction. The original version, pre-Nemo and fully functioning as Seabase Alpha, was an Imagineering masterpiece and among the best things they've ever built.

I truly wish I had gotten to experience pre-2000's Epcot. I think a large part of why I'm not as upset by the recent changes is the Epcot I grew up on was the 2000's era which already has lost Horizons, Wonders of Life, this version of the Seas, etc.

The original seas was like a journey...it was absolutely brilliant.... Now the first draft of The Seas was an omnimover attraction with an epic scale...but that would be absolutely inconceivable to build in this day and age...

Eugh. I went there in 2022 for my birthday and it was dreadful. Make it a Bubba Gump or something. That's tolerable...
Amazing in Florida with some of the best seafood in the world they have never been able to field a good seafood restaurant there. Disney Springs shows it could be done but the location probably works against it as well

Even more amazing... the fish is farmed right in the same building and that doesn't help!

If they did bulldoze the Living Seas (I'm still calling it that. "The Seas With Nemo and Friends" is a stupid name), what would they replace it with? Nothing?

I'm surprised it's apparently not very popular... I remember Turtle Talk With Crush, at least, having really long lines. I was under the impression that Finding Nemo was a very popular movie.

It is reasonably attended, but it also costs a lot to maintain and staff relative to other pavilions while not really being a notable draw for the park. Very few people are explicitly going to EPCOT to see marine life, whereas animal exhibits are more likely to persist at Animal Kingdom since they are central to the theme and the viability of some core attractions and trails.

Maybe they could put in a Play! lawn......

I forget that restaurant even exists. Has it ever been any good? Maybe like 30 years ago?

It's surprising that it's never seen any kind of major overhaul. I'm sure the interior has been renovated, but I'm pretty sure it's been called the Coral Reef Restaurant since the pavilion opened -- how many other Disney restaurants have had the same name that long?

Also, the menu is terrible. How do you only have one fish entree at your fish restaurant?
