Millennials aren’t even close to the top of list as far as stupid spending in parks that encourage bad management that’s slowing knocking the feet out from under the business model
Stupid spending guests you say?

This may be a wildly unpopular opinion, but I’m fine with a massive correction for the tourism industry. Post COVID-era use of recovery cash to take expensive vacations and Millennial detachment towards things in favor of “experiences” has really juiced this industry well beyond its value and inflation costs. Hotel prices, flight prices, and experiences like theme parks have gotten massively more expensive than they were in the mid to latter years of the 2010’s. Time for gravity to set in.
Sadly you just described the collapse of one of the top two industries in FL - agriculture and tourism.

I’d be very interested to know why directly relevant issues like massive declines in international tourism, plummeting import rates, and US citizens being arrested trying to enter Florida are off limits. These topics are absolutely vital to a discussion of the current and future state of WDW.

They really are key to the “conditions”…for sure…but the problem is it gets off the rails within about 10 minutes - guaranteed

Where is Nelson Peltz? He said he’d come back if the stock fell into the $80s.
Might as well let it ride now…gets better almost every day 🤓
You do not want Nelson peltz back. He would have sold bits of the company for some extra cash made an idiotic mandate about not making “woke stories” and just in general ruined the company.

Any other stock tips?
Or are we supposed to listen to a pod on corporate raiders…in case those of us who were alive during the era have forgotten😉

Nelson Peltz is an idiot. He openly questioned why there was a black cast in Black Panther. Like the movie is set in Africa , Nelson. Even after studio execs gave a thumbs down , Iger went against them and green lighted Black Panther to be made. The rest was history.

There is proud spearheading efforts to make this downward trend happen but that’s another topic for another forum site.

First one can be discussed as a driver for Disney decisions (IMO). The latter two would get political and derail the conversations very quickly.

Is this a new UK offer? Email received today.

Yes.

Have you ever seen a UK offer this generous?

There have been better ones recently.
The ticket offer is standard every year.
The free dining used to be standard. Since Covid they’ve offered a dining credit rather than the plan, which is more flexible.
Free gift cards of $200 have usually been offered recently.

Those in Ireland are getting less cash, half I think. Which is mean, given £ and € are pretty close.

What the hell is "Flavour"? Sounds French.

I’m flying tonight from Miami to YVR and I acknowledge it’s Easter… but the seat map looks like early COVID.

80%+ empty plane. I’ve been here for a few weeks and the drop off is shocking.

I’m intrigued to hear the operators start reporting their quarterlies. Comcast on the 24th and Royal on the 29th are two to look out for.

Comcast should be fine next quarter as Epic has most of the first month sold out. For Disney it's a bit concerning just due to the amount of discounts they are putting out.

I am very interested to see SWA next quarterly. We booked flights for next month to use up our points and then we're done. Credit cards cancelled and on to flying with Delta or United (which we typically fly first class on them). SWA is no longer an option. It will be interesting to see how full our planes are on our way to our destination.

Leaving aside the other BS in your posts.

Just a search of a literally 30 second for Columbus, Ohio, about as mid/central in Ohio as you can get for the week of July 20-26 gives your.

The Capital Suites Hotel $178 per night
Hotel LeVeque $227 per night
The Plaza Hotel at Capital Square $145 per night
The Westin Great Souther Columbus $200 per night.

I mean if your going to just spew nonsense, at least try harder so that someone sitting on the can with an Iphone and the Marriot Bonvoy App can't debunk in less time than it takes to take a dump.
Maybe I'm misreading the original post, but I took it as a few nights would be $400 (so $200 a night). That would line right up with what you are seeing here after taxes/fees/parking/etc. charges, and that is in fact exactly what we paid for a weekend in Columbus in February.

Did SWA change a policy or something ?
