90 day booking window for dining, tours and reservations to become standard

I think this is a good call....180 days out for dining was a bit ridiculous! Tours were always 90 days, weren't they? I know that Recreation activities were 90 days... anyway...I'm stressing since DL is only 30 days out for all of those things! I like to have my plans down pat by that time!

I think this is a good move as well. I have already been the mindset for booking at the 90 day mark anyway since the reservations office told me I had to wait. The one exception I think I had, at the time, was Chef Mickeys.

I'm sure he can, but you'll need to ask him.

You arent doubting WDWMAGIC are you? ;) I wouldnt be posting this unless it's fact.
I just like to confirm info from 2 independent sources before I pass the info along to others. So far, you are the only one stating this as fact.

That will make getting to the 180 day mark alot less exciting! *changes alarm on phone* Won't that make it harder to get ressies for places like Le Cellier though?

I've gotten in there on a 30 day notice before...you just have to be flexible with your dining times and be relentless at calling them back. Actually when I was there on the 13th someone was able to get walk-in ADRs there!

but I would DEFINITELY be dialing in at 8:59am EST on your 90-day mark if I were you...

Another CUT at Disney!

Fantasmic CUT to 2 days per week!

Park hours CUT!

Prime rib CUT from the buffets!

Now the ADR window CUT from 180 to 90 days!

Obviously this just means more profits for Disney! And we don't want THAT now do we?

:p

A good idea, and I'm not at all surprised. It's hard to open reservations without posting hours, and I think in the current climate of uncertainty, WDW would much rather wait a little longer than six months before doing their attendance forecasts.

I actually think this is a pretty good idea. I have seen so many times where people's circumstances change and when you cancel a reservation, it does not automatically cancel ADRs. So i think a lot of times the reason some people cannot get the ADRs they want is not really because the place is truly booked, but because people booked trips way in advance and didn't take the time to cancel dining plans as well when their trips got cancelled.

I have been at LeCellier before when three tables for a time slot had not shown up.

I think 90 days is plenty. Heck at home we don't even plan our meals for a week at a time, much less 180 days in advance! :p

To confirm...

Can JPVonDrake confirm the change in the dining window?

Officially:

With the growing pattern of Guests booking their dining, recreation and tour experiences closer to their travel dates as they finalize their vacation itineraries, we will be adjusting the booking window for those experiences to a 90-day period, effective December 23, 2008.

Disney Resort Hotel Guests may book 90 days prior to their scheduled check-in date for the first 10 days of their stay. Day Guests may book 90 days prior to the date they wish to dine.

Due to the unique components and special nuances of Grand Gathering experiences and La Nouba performances, reservations for these offerings can be made up to 180 days in advance.

All existing reservations will be honored as booked.

Note: A new start date for our updated Dining Reservation System or for Online Dine Bookings has not been officially announced as of yet.

Un-officially:

Never double our glorious Webmaster! :sohappy:

*doesnt trust you either* :lookaroun :p

;)

Would you?! Totally kidding... I would.
This is good news, now they just need a penalty for having multiple reservations at the same time and either not canceling or canceling last minute.

I called last week for a reservation on any night at any time for Le Cellier in February and couldn't get one
