9/16-9/22/09 Trip report-complaints

Twice on Everest(different days) -both times no special effects and no YETI, one day it kept stopping and starting throughout the ride

1900 Park Fare- breakfast at 8am -food awful -not what it should be
dinner okay, but not worth the money
suggestion: only go if the characters are a must see

bus service at park closing time is terrible especially for the ALL STAR RESORTS - even when the buses are not being shared- part of the problem is many drivers appear to be new and have trouble with the wheelchairs and scooters, hooking them up and then getting the bus ready to move, or allow others on the bus. This really lenghthens the time of the buses at a stop

Sorry you had some bad experiences, they come with every trip.

Everest - nothing new, it hasn't been working for a long time so when we were there the same week as you we didn't expect much.

Bus service - we had one night at the MK where the POP line was outrageous, actually all resort lines were outrageous. All this taught me was to not leave right at park closing. Either leave an hour before or hang out afterwards and let others leave.
Not the fault of the bus driver as several busses were showing up one right after another. And the wheelchair/scooter loading ALWAYS takes time, and is something everyone just has to live with. I feel fortunate that I am standing so I try not to complain or get irritated at the length of time it takes.

Would love to hear your trip report of the good things that happened. :)

Sorry about the problems, but they do happen. I hope you had a good trip overall!

That's a very jt like attitude for you to take!

Well ok. However to pick 3 things and have no positives is kinda hard to beleive. Everest and Bus Service is too often complained about. We know about Everest and there is talk of a refurb(or should I say prefurb:rolleyes:)next year.

Value Resort + Park Closing = Long Waits.

Unfortunately you sometimes get what you pay for.

We stayed in Values in 1998...only thing we could afford. It was painful as far as buses goes and the end of day, beginning of the day walk to from room/bus stop.

Since 2001, each year we have stayed at Deluxes and our negative bus experiences are far fewer. Downtown Disney is still painful though. Even staying at BCW/BWV/Swan/Dolphin can still be a pain when taking the bus to MK.

Staying at BLT next June so look forward to walking to/from the MK.

good trip report to follow

absolutely had a great time report to follow soon.....
have stayed at the values (2X) before have not had as many issues with buses....as I said the main problem seemed to be the drivers were not used to wheelchairs and scooters. I had been lucky enough in previous visits(this was #9)to experience Everest in good working order. My biggest issue was the food at Park Fare.

Good to know, I had struggled with choosing between 1900 Park Fare and Grand Floridian Cafe.
I chose the GF Cafe and it was wonderful, so I am glad to know I made the right choice. Although I would like to try 1900 Park Fare someday. Hopefully they will do something about the quality.

I have eaten at 1900 Park Fare a few times for the character buffet, it was very good. It has been 3 or 4 years since I have been there but I never had anything but good things to say. Thats a shame it wasn't good. Hope you had fun anyway!
