I'm probably in the minority but I didn't think it was great. Its only ok imo, I'll have to watch it a few more times to really see how I feel but I'm not a fan of the music and there's not really any pyro, it felt like there wasn't many uses drones either. It felt like a projection show with some pyro and a few drones. The Beauty and the Beast scene was great though.

I really enjoyed it. DLP has never had much pyro so that doesn't bother me. I was expecting a few more drones, especially towards the first half where there aren't many at all. Definitely an improvement on Illuminations and Dreams. Bonus positive is no live action remakes or out of place Star Wars

I think it’s a grower. Less pyro is a shame, leaving too many perceived dead spaces. Especially where the music suggests there should be some. New lasers and use them less doesn’t make much sense, again where they would help plus the show. It has moments of shear eye candy overload, and other moments with a lot of dead space that doesn’t help the show.

But the style of show is a welcome change. So theatrical and very much like a stage show. Music choice is quite a surprise (He Lives in You being a favourite) and the theme song is very catchy. Watching from Main Street is an experience, plus points too for the extra rooftop searchlights, smoke machines and snow (!). With a little plussing this could the best regular show Paris has had to date. As it is IMHO it doesn’t hit quite as hard as Dreams did. Yet.

Okay after giving it another watch on bigger screen and a closer castle view, I gotta say I absolutely loved it. Although I'm not a fan of the lives in you song for Lion King.

I was really expecting something different... I was disappointed, and I think I got used to things like Momentous, Enchantment, World of Animation, or Wondrous Journeys, which feel like one cohesive piece. It bothered me that the dialogues just interrupted the flow, they didn’t feel like they contributed anything, and it wasn't like the segments themselves added much either. It felt like they just threw the clips in the night before and somewhat arranged them without a clear idea or attention to the transitions. Personally, the segment I enjoyed was the remix of You Got a Friend in Me.

That theme song is fantastic. Very romantic; I'll be waiting for it to drop on Spotify at some point.

Animazement continues to beget children, this time with a loose Moana/Hercules/Belle/Mulan/Quasimodo quintet. I think Wondrous Journeys did it better with the Moana/Hercules/Belle/Quasimodo quartet but this one's pretty good too.

It certainly does require a bit of reframing of what a castle show is for this American as this feels more like World of Color on Main Street, but once I get used to it the soundtrack really is fantastic. Just a bit slower/more drawn out than I'm used to. He Lives in You into Circle of Life is a standout moment.

Trying to sneak a Paris trip this year so I hope I get to see this in person! Fingers crossed.

@marni1971 is there now more search lights around the castle than MK has? Obviously there are other new lighting and effects that puts MK to shame. Hopefully all this will be included in MKs next attempt to replace HEA.

Definitely more lights than MK but pretty sure Luminous has more. Luminous has around 162 beams on the barges + 6 or 7 on top the pavilions.
