Watching the video with the entire queue I was pleasantly surprised to see so many trees in the outdoor area.

In a couple of years this ride is going to have the most beautiful trees In all of mk. It really does feel like you went into a little enchanted forest.

I think you are right. And I hope Disney leaves them be. The trees could be awesome but Disney does not have a good track history for letting trees mature as they tend to come in during the night and poof they are gone.

darn those pesky trees, ruining sight-lines and encroaching on foot paths, and did you see the gall of that Alder over there on 7DMT? its branch finally drooped far enough to whack a guest in the face as the rode by.

A nice little ride...I rode it first thing in the morning and then again late at night in the dark...dark experience seemed more fun.

While the animatronics are cool, the ride is WAY too short. It should have been twice the length it is. Also, the cars barely swing. What's up with that? I was hoping for a bigger swinging motion.

It's definitely a D-ticket ride.

(When will we get another E-ticket at the Magic Kingdom?)

I noticed the swinging really good on one ride through but it depends on where you sit it seems. It wasn't as much the other times I rode.

I was never up front, and only in the near back once, so I'd say at least the back, I really noticed the swinging effect. I was usually put somewhere in the middle and didn't notice it really at all.

Is it as smooth as it looks and sounds? Where would you put it on a scale of one to 10? 1=an actual mine train on a wooden track, 10=smoothest coaster you've ever ridden--you are practically floating. . .

I'd say just for a smooth ride, 10. And even when it passes by you don't hear it at all (you only know it does because of the screams). Extremely quiet coaster.

Do you have any control over where you end up riding?

If you had not known what it could have been, would you be as critical now? This is an honest question.

Not really. They ask you before they split the main queue line. I was sent in the first line (there were two lines) and then loaded wherever. I wish I kept track of the number I was told to go to each time. I never think of that. I mean, you can probably ask to sit in the front or the back but they'll likely make you step out of line and wait a bit. I didn't think to ask.

That's about what I figured. Thanks :)

I rode it on Friday and this is exactly what I thought too. Fun ride, but left me wanting more.

Honestly, I think I would've been more critical. With as long as this thing has taken and the big deal they have made over it, I would've expected this thing to be on the same scale as Everest or Thunder.

I rode it on Saturday and YES ITS SHORT! BY NO MEANS is it a BTMR or SM, feels very much like goofy's barnstormer. On the plus size the scenery and theme of the ride is great! I will say pay attention to the end of the ride at the cottage and LOOK INSIDE the cottage (great little scene in there). also at night the ride is lighted up great!

I don't agree it's anything like Barnstormer. Does that even have a dark ride portion, or a show set, or an elaborate queue? Maybe just in length, sure, but most coasters aren't going to be more than a couple of minutes in length, really.
