This isn't exactly true either. While I am unfamiliar with the Preserve, I know for a fact that some of the WDW land is protected because of it's status as wetlands. That is why the treetop villas remain to decay.
If you don't mind me asking, hw do you know this for a "fact."

Here we go. I had a go. Excuse all the "code" but I'm sure you can work it out.

I read that article as well and found it interesting. I don't know how reliable that article is considering the source, and I quote,
A little bird (who claimed to have heard third-hand)

Funny how nobody has discussed what the theme for the alleged fifth park would be.

Let's see if I can figure this out...

Here's a picture I did several years ago. DLR and WDW are in the same scale -- see if you can guess which is which...

(and you can tell how long I've had this sitting around, DCA didn't exist yet)

oh i know, anything is possible, i just cant decide if i like the idea of a multi level parking deck. i know it is compact and saves space, but if they are to tall they are an eye sore.

i guess we will see.

did he predict the theme.
Two words in regards to the Parking Garage idea: SHADED PARKING.

When a fifth park happens, which it eventually(which means from 4-10 years from now) will, I hope it is Disney Seas. That looks like the best Disney park in the world, but I've only seen pics and videos.

That would be cool, but only if it was done w/ a similar budget. But given the fact that you'd be building this in central Florida, you'd have to be careful that you don't end up with something like "Disney Lakes".

BTW, has a secondary park ever been cloned? Or just the MK/DL style parks?

By the time the 5th park is built in Florida (my guess is 2012 at the earliest), DisneySeas will not be the "latest and greatest" concept.

Don't limit your dreams to what already exists.

Hmm, a new parking structure and a new park in the MK parking lot? Disney's Florida Adventure?
Hmmm...where's the Hurricane Attraction gonna be?? :animwink:

I personally think a parking structure would be great. Your car doesn't have to sit outside, AND they can save money by not using PL trams. It works wonders for Universal Orlando, don't see why it couldn't do the same here.
I dunno, I just don't like the parking ramps at USF. They're gi-normous and it takes sooo long to get to the parks, especially if you're out at the ends, even with the moving walkways. I just don't like the concept. I may be a little biased though, I am a sucker for the trams :D

Yes I agree. They need to bring back the orriginal Journey into your imagination, 20,000 leagues under the sea, and Mr. Toad before any new park is built....unless, its a retro park and all the rides of the past have a new home.....................
I was thinking the same thing!! Make a park devoted to dead rides of the past. MTWR, WoM, JII, Horizons, AE, and so many more could be put in there. It would be totally awesome...but totally not going to happen

TTC/MK Parking Lot

Just a little info!

The MK/TTC Parking lot is the fourth largerst in the world.. or was.
It covers about 26 acres. It is true that DL can fit inside with room to spare!

*Thread Drift* But out of interest what and where are the largest?

*Back To Thread* I have to agree with other TDS looks amazing!!!!! it has been said that Disney would never build a park on that scale (finacially).

Disney probably isn't interested in building a new park anytime soon. The company's current administration can barely figure out how to maintain a steady stream of high-quality attractions, let alone how to re-imagine a ride without destroying its magic (such as Journey into Imagination). Yes, we're getting Expedition: Everest; but AK had to trot along for almost 10 years as a half-park to finally get one more good ride! At least AK is well-themed; DCA has suffered since it opened, and Disney Studios Paris is a joke. Six Flags New Orleans has better rides than DSP.

Furthermore, while Beastly Kingdomme (that's how the Imagineers spell it) is waaaaay back on the burners, it hasn't been completely shelved. It may one day (and with new administration) be constructed...but first, Disney should fix Imagination; build at least one new E-ticket in MK without replacing anything; create an attracton that celebrates the Disney villains; add a Monsters, Inc. ride to the Disney Studios and decide what the park's identity is (sans MGM); and refurbish the classics. Oh yeah, and take the hideous arm off Spaceship Earth!

WDW doesn't need a new park anytime soon, and as Kevin Yee even pointed out on MiceAge, this rumor is extremely unlikely.

Justto clarify. Disneyland can fit inside the MK parking lot. However, Disneyland park is over 80 acres. Thus the 26 acre number is incorrect. I believe MGM's parking lot is around 66 acres and it is the smallest of the four at WDW. The MK parking lot is actually bigger than the Magic Kingdom and covers well over 100 acres.
