Trip Report 50% of a Cruise trip Report.

Howdy Folks.
It's getting close to that time again for another cruise so I thought I would get things started with all the info.
We are back off to Norway again.
The Who,
Myself and the ever lovely Mrs Raccoon.

And our regular cruise extras, My parents.

Onboard the ,

Tomorrow is probably our favourite port in Norway. Stavanger.

We woke to another sunny day with this view.

After a late Cabanas breakfast we left the ship. With this being our third time in this port we just set out for a good mooch around the town and surrounding area.
Just outside the customs area was this interesting artwork and a telephone booth turned into a little library

We took a good long walk until we reached the outskirts of the town before turning back and perusing the shopping options on the return leg which may have taken longer.
We went past the petroleum museum

Some fancy bike racks

And some trawlers selling their catch direct from the quayside.

The town is very pretty with a large cobbled area with various shops and artwork .

Whilst browsing a pharmacy chain we (more like me) spotted these cheeky things and , being a 5year old at heart I got photos.

After an obligatory stop at Starbucks we meandered back to the ship. Checking out the last few shops on the way

Back on board the ship we tried our hand at Disney trivia. Not even close to a medal.
Then it was Dinner time.
Animators pallette round Deux.
Again, feel free to guess the food. All I remember was it was delicious.

Tonight's show was the incomparable Pete Matthews. It was the family friendly version ( only just) and it left us crying with laughter. If you get the chance to see his act on any of the cruise lines he sails with I 100% recommend it.
When we returned to our room for the night this fellow was waiting.

Tomorrow is an at sea day and the last full day of the cruise

Saturday 10th September. At Sea.
Today was a relaxing day spent doing nothing much except packing
Disney trivia
And a whole lot of nothing.
Coffee was consumed

As were other beverages.

We headed down to the adult area after dinner for the non family friendly Pete Matthews. Good lord I nearly burst a lung I laughed that hard. It was a fantastic ending to a great cruise.

Sunday 11th September

Woke up to the white cliffs and debarkation day.
All in all this was the best cruise we have been on. The whole vibe on the ship from crew to passengers was amazing and we would do this all again in a heartbeat.
Thanks for following along with this slightly drawn out report. I hope to do another in 2024 but we will see what the fates decide.
