Sounds Great....Did anything special happen with SSE?

That's why I susspect that it's playing all of the 25th year.I don't think Disney would waste all the tme designing a shopw just for a couple thousand people to see...Do we have any information or clarification on this?
Keep in mind that they do a spectacular 4th of July tag and New Year's Eve tag, each just one night a year.

Unfortunately, all indications are that this is strictly one-time only.

They are nicknamed WWIII for a reason - they launch so many shells at once that it makes your body physically shake and you can not breathe. It's amazing. :)

You will *not* be disappointed.

So true. After seeing the Peace on Earth tag, I could have sworn that the pyro crew was making a concerted effort to blow up Epcot.

OH man I am so jealous of those who are going to be there.

At least we have awesome technology to be able to see this at home on video, though! :)

The question is, for the purposes of many of us wanting to completely cover the one time only event on video as best as possible, did you see, do you know of any special additions, such as effect or other on or around SSE, the World Showcase, etc?

:)

There will be projections on SSE during the 4 minute tag on Oct 1.

Wish they would do this tag at least up until the holiday tag starts, more than one night would be nice, (and Im saying that because I cant be there that day but still):(

Don't you just love that? :D

There are a total of six WWIII barges as well. All six are used for the 4th and New Years tags. All six will likely be used for this tag as well. :D

Have you seen RoE tags? 4 minutes on paper doesn't sound like much, but they are almost always nearly as big (if not as big) as its RoE lead-in.

Yes. I've seen the New Year and July 4th tags.

It's still only 4 minutes. I keep forgetting that maybe some folks don't get to see as many fireworks shows as I do all year round.

I'm sure it will be spectacular. Enjoy.

I still think, the point really is, this isn't just a fireworks show, but one based around the idea of Epcot's silver anniversary.

The same way fireworks are more special on July 4th than any other day, but even more so, because for all we knew last February Disney was not planning on doing ANYTHING on October 1st, so this "4 minutes" of fireworks is just going to be the end of a spectacular day of celebrations at the park... it is the icing on the cake (that began with the wand removal, IMHO) and something that wasn't even considered months ago.

What are you calling the WWIII barge? Not the one shown at the bottom of http://www.wdwmagic.com/illum_2000_hardware.htm ? I believe they only have 1 or at most 2 of those available. At least they used to. :)
Ah...sorry for the confusion. There are two barges that have the fencing on them. Once is placed on each side of the lagoon (if you were looking from Showcase Plaza). The other four are what appear to be slighter smaller WWIII barges that are placed just behind each of the four Maxi barges during the 4th and New Years shows. The Peace on Earth tag either uses its own special WWIII barges or they remove the fencing from the ones they already have. Hope that helps explain what I mean. Tons of stuff comes off all of them, so I consolidated and called them all WWIII barges. Heck, either way it looks like World Showcase is being blown to bits. :)

If someone can, I'd recommend sticking around the bridge around barge deployment Monday and see if they can get photos of all the barges they bring out.

They can always put in and take barges out of the water. With that marina being as tight as it is and for the WWIII barge only being used the select few times during the year, I would be suprised that they would keep it in the water year round.

CrashNet; roughly what time is barge deployment? I`ll give it a go, without keeping the bascule bridge in sight for an hour or two. Thanks for the info, BTW. When I first figured we could make it over for the 1st, my only real hope was for an ROE Tag and hearing WJBTD played out loud. Dreams coming true and all that...
