If it is true that the tag will be several times larger in pyro concentration than RoE, I wonder how many WWIII barges they have to float out!

I might add that it is possible that devices will be launced from behind each pavillion in WS. (Just an educated guess so keep your cameras out of zoom mode.)

I have a feeling that several records will be set on October first... largest crowd, most cameras taken into the park by one person, most cameras lost and recovered at lost&found...

There is absolutely NO way that a record will be set for largest crowd. In 2003, on New Years Eve, they decided not to stop guests from coming into the park and over 80,000 people were in Epcot that day.

There is no way that number will be reached on Monday. I'm going to make an educated guess of more like 25,000-30,000.

Sorry to burst your bubble. As amazing at it would, it's not a major holiday (unless you're a super Disney/Epcot geek!).

I was thinking the same thing about the WWIII barges. Does anyone know how many shells this tag will have as compared to the "Peace on Earth" tag?

And the 4th of july tag? I read some where that this is going to have 800 shells which sounds a little low to me. maybe it's me???

According to:
Lastly, a special tag will be added to the nightly IllumiNations display as a special tribute to Epcot. The music will be familar to Epcot fans (Think Tapestry, Suite of Dreams, etc), and the voice of Walt will be heard. Epcot VP Jim MacPhee tells us the grand finale of the fireworks will include 800 shells in the final few seconds.

800 shells in the last25 seconds or so. I'm not entirely sure but I estimate that a total of 400-450 shells are launched during Peace on Earth. Now, if what was posted by Scott Powers was true, and it was according to Adam, the tag will be several times larger than RoE, that would mean that at least 3 flat-bed barges would have to be dragged out. As it is a 'tag', I don't think that each of RoE's 14 barges will be reloaded after RoE and then be able to shoot the 'tag'.
Maybe boo or mythbuster can enlighten us with the technical aspects...

As much as I would love to see it, I don't forsee 81,000 crazy Epcot fans converging on the park on Monday. :)

While the total guest attendance may not set any records, I bet we will see a record broken of largest percentage of guests being Disney/Epcot geeks! :)

Oh absolutely....i would wager that more then 80% of the crowd in attendence that day will be "Disney Park/ EPCOT geeks" like myself.

Power to the people, baby!

I guess I feel sorry for the regular people who know nothing of this.
I wish I could go.:brick::brick::brick::brick::brick::brick:
But here is my prediticon of music they may play:
Fun to Be free (remember kind of)
Tommorow's child (don't remember that song at all)
We've only begun to dream
Tapestry of Nations music
And a whole lot more.

But how do you get to marni's vids I don't get it. I can't figure out how to acces them. And if he has really good footage I NEED TO SEE IT!

You need to learn how to use BitTorrent client software. Go here for a primer: http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/ I like uTorrent, here: http://www.utorrent.com/

Speaking with my friend who just bought a seasonal pass Saturday, we decided to suck it up and drive over right after classes get out Monday, even if we only are there for 30 minutes. Can't pass this once in a lifetime thing up. :D

Haha, see, so you WILL be there after all - nothing to be jealous of anymore!

I had a hunch you'd suck it up and trek down!

Nothing would have kept me from DL's 50th, nothing will keep me from Epcot's 25th! Now hopefully weather cooperates. Weather.com has been painting quite the dire picture.

I ARRIVE EARLY THURS!!!!! :)

Record that will be broken on 10/1....

Largest percentage of guests that will refer to SSE as SSE and not the big golf ball.

I was also assuming the crowd is going to be HUGE, but I just called yesterday to make lunch reservations in the park and was told I could pick any time I wanted. I figured most, if not all, spots would be taken by now.

Add to that the most number of guests to refer to SSE as SSE and not Spaceship Earth.
I do that all the time and it makes my wife insane.

"We can go to the Poly and have breakfast at Kona. After that we can head over to MK because I want to ride HM, PotC and JC. Maybe latter we can head over to WL and grab some lunch at WCC"

*cue sound of wife's eyes rolling up into her head*

*sigh* The tell tale signs of a true Disney fan. Now if you start calling fastpasses FPs, then we have a problem.
