Let's get started! We left Saturday morning at 7 after my boyfriend and I got off work at UPS. We drove from Louisville, KY to Lake City, FL to rest for the night.
We did have a nice rental van from Budget; it was a 2010 dodge chrysler with satelite radio and plenty of room for napping.
We arrived in Lake City around 7 pm and decided to eat at the Cracker Barrel right around the corner. We ended up having terrible service, but we did get full. We went back to the hotel and fell asleep pretty fast. I was just excited that tomorrow I would be in Disney!:sohappy:
Sunday July 11 We left the hotel at 10:45 am and drove the rest of the way to All Star Sports. We got there around 1 and sure enough our room was ready! I put my birthday pin on right away and my mom and I was even given 2 roses! Whoo hoo!
(this picture was taken at a different time just wanted to throw it in here now)
(i loved the goofy poster!)
We dropped off our luggage and hopped on a bus for Downtown Disney. We was all pretty hungry so we headed for Earl of Sandwich! Troy and I love that place, I got cannonballs! and I forgot what he got...
We shopped at all the stores basically and I picked up a goofy mug for myself. My mom and Troy bought me some goofy items for my birthday since it was only 3 days away! :]
(My mom, brother and I)
After we finished our shopping adventure (by the way, I loved the idea of having your purchases delivered to your hotel, I used it everytime I bought something!) we went back to the hotel for a swim.
(thats us in the middle of the pool by goofy)
After we swam we spent sometime in the arcade using our free 100 points and ate supper in the food court. We fell asleep around 10pm looking forward to our first day at the parks tomorrow! And little did I know what Troy had planned for me
It was around 5ish I would say, can't really remember...But I had to visit MK on our first day at Disney! When we got there we had to ride the monorail and I was thrilled! I was sitting there on the monorail just waiting to hear the safety speech! (The next day at EPCOT, one of the CM's said it when we was about to go into an attraction, I thought it was pretty awesome! lol)
(super happy)
First stop when inside the gates his Cindy's castle for a photo op!
(so whoever took our picture obviously didn't get the memo to get the castle in the background...:hammer
I decided to check and see if Space Mountain had any FP's left and sure enough they did! We had to be back between 9 and 10, which was perfect because our Chef Mickey's ADR's where at 8. The CoP was next! This was one of my dad's favorite rides so it was really special to me. And you just know that I sung along everytime we changed rooms!
(Troy loves that the dog never dies :])
TTA was next since it had little to no wait. Still miss the old narration but enjoyed it to say the least.
Monsters Inc. was next and I was looking forward to it since we had never done it before. I must say I loved it. I cracked up so much! "Knock Knock" "Whose there?" "Orange" "Orange who" "Orange you glad you're not that guy!" hahaha. They used the same guy through out the performance incase some of you all didn't know.
We had about 2 hours to spare until Chef Mickey's so of course I had to visit Toontown one last time.
I wanted to see the Princess' so we waited in line, I say the wait was about 20 min but the line for the fairies was an hour! No way was I going to wait that long!
(Troy was the beast.)
(my cat's name is Cinderella, so I was happy to meet her)
We went to Philhar Magic after that and then it was time to head over to the Contemporary to eat. Our first and only character dinner and I will never forget that night.
I will finish this day later because I have to get ready for work :[
We arrive at the Contemporary about 30 minutes early hoping we could get in early. (our ADR was at 8). We got a buzzer, had our picture taken and sat down and waited by the windows looking out to the pool. It was about a 10 minute wait if not that before our buzzer went off. We was seated fairly close to the buffet and as soon as we got to the table pluto was ready to see us.
I told the others to go ahead and get your food, I will sit here. I was pretty worn out and just wanted to sit a little while longer. Little did I know while my mom and Troy was at the buffet, my mom gave Troy the ring from her bag. She was carrying it around all day! Sneaky, sneaky. After a while of eating the server brings me out a birthday cupcake. I was excited since it was my first b-day cupcake of the week!
The other characters come by along the way. Minnie was next after Pluto.
Then Donald.
And at long last I finally see Goofy coming our way! My favorite dog in the whole world! So we take our pictures as usual...
(happy happy me!)
(Goofy says "check out this cool guy!")
After I think we're all done with the picture taking I sit back down ready to eat some more. I see Troy out of the corner of my eye down on one knee and I turn and face him and say "what are you doing?" with this huge grin on my face. Then the best line of the entire trip was said to me..."Will you marry me?" I was speechless and shocked that I couldn't say anything but smile. He never cries but he had tears in his eyes!! I said yes!!
We had goofy take another picture with us, this time with the ring!
My brother got a video of what he could of the proposal and I will try to add it in here later as soon as I figure it out. I was beyong happy and so overwhelmed I couldn't eat anymore. My stomach was so crazy from all the excitment but our server now brought our more cupcakes to celebrate.
(no idea why we got Happy Anniversary pins instead of Just Engaged...maybe they ran out.)
The last character left was Mickey and we was able to get a group photo.
We was done eating by the time Mickey came around so we left soon after to head back to the Magic Kingdom to get our Space Mounatin fast pass ride in. Plus it would be Troy and I's first ride together as engaged!
Back at the MK, we waiting in the FP line for Space Mountain about 15 minutes but it seemed to go by quick because I was talking to Troy about our engagement. Space Mountain rocks everytime and it was the first time I have rode it since the refurb and I think its even better now! After SM my mom and brother decided to head back to the room so that left Troy and I some alone time together. I threw out the idea of visiting this place...
We walked right into the stretching room because by that time everyone was ready for the fireworks. I recited the entire stretching room narration just incase you was wondering lol
(stretching room)
Once again this was the first time I was able to ride a ride after it's refurb and I was happy with it. Plus the HM never, ever dissapoints! I wanted to stay longer after the HM but Troy was tired so we went back to the room. But we stopped for a pic in front of it's a small world just for Troy. He was looking forward to ride it before we even left for the trip.
We was back in the room by 11 and I ended up falling asleep pretty fast. I must have been excited for our day at Epcot tomorrow, plus we had ADR at Boma for breakfast in the morning at 8. (first time eating there)
We had breakfast reservations at 8 at Boma and this was a first for all of us and my last. I was so looking forward to this because I heard a lot of good reviews but it was nothing special to me. Not to mention that as soon as I took a bite of the oatmeal, I immediately had to get to the bathroom. That was the first time I have ever took a bite of something and had to :hurl:. But my brother and Troy enjoyed the juice at least.
EPCOT was on our list to do today and we arrived just a tad late for park opening. We headed to Soarin' to grab fast passes and our return time was around lunch time so we had a while to do some things. Troy and I was super, duper excited to see Captain EO. We are both MJ fans, me more than him, and finding out that Captain EO was going to be open while we was there was awesome!
I was happy with it. Loved the effects and just seeing him do his thing on the big screen lol. I even bought a Captain EO shirt later in the day. We headed to Journey Into Imagination next and this was a first for all us. I thought it was boring, Troy thought it was neat. We still had some time to kill afterwards so we went into Innoventions and watched/participated in the velcro game show.
I had to get as many bags stuck to Troy as possible in 1 minute. In the end we lost by 2 bags :[ but we did get stickers so it all worked out lol. Next was the piggy bank game. We saved enough money up for our dream vacation so we should be able to get back to Disney soon!
(troy says I have the same face as the pig. Thanks sweetie!)
After we spent time in Innoventions we was able to get more FP's so we all got one for Test Track and then decided to get our grub on at Electric Umbrella, which was over run by cough *tour groups* cough. Here, as much as we all know what they look like, is one of the groups we encountered every, single day and night.
After eating we returned to Soarin. We got the front row and it made me nervous, since I'm scared of heights but it was still fun! We was somehow able to get more FP's so we picked up some Mission Space one's after that. My mom wanted to do Universe of Energy or otherwise known as "Ellen's ride" to her. Once again, boring but it had the A/C going so thats a plus. Once we finished that we headed to the world showcase starting in Mexico.
We did the ride in Mexico and Norway of course and seen this duck along the way.
After we made our trip around World Showcase, Troy and I headed here...
to build an awesome, extreme, upside down, rollercoaster. I think we went upside down 5 times, I'm not sure. After we rode our coaster it was time to use FP's for Test Track, or as my mom calls it 'Fast Track'. Troy, Austin and I headed over to Mission Space afterwards for the FP's there. It was Troy's first time on the ride and he LOVED it! I mean he couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. He has declared it his favorite ride ever (besides rollercoasters lol).
We wondered around in Mouse Gear's afterwards and found this little headpiece.
Next was The Sea's with Nemo and Friends, a first for all of us since they changed it to Nemo. The Nemo ride was boring but Troy and I enjoyed looking at the fish afterwards. The dolphin in there was so cute and was swimming right up next to the glass. After that we headed on into the Coral Reef for our 8:00 ADR's. Here is our view from our table.
And this is the dessert I got.
After our dinner, my mom and brother left to go pick up her boyfriend, Dennis, from the airport. Troy and I took one picture after we ate and then we went back to the room before the crowds headed to the park exit.
(Dory is going to eat his head!!)
Tomorrow we are headed to MGM, I mean DHS, and it was also going to be my birthday! DHS is my mom and Troy's favorite park!
