Miami has now lost 4 in row including terrible losses to Pittsburgh, and blow outs to CLEARLY SUPERIOR Clemson and LSU.....

- FSU Va Tech Tonight....who do you like?
Heard that! What's your take on Cyrus Jones being waived by New England? And why does no one seem to want to take a flyer on Bo Scarbrough (after Dallas waived him)?
That’s what NE does. If it isn’t Tom brady you are always on the chopping block. He’ll bounce back.

Bo went out too early. He should have stayed in school. He would have been dominant.

Bo just couldn't stay healthy.....I'd like to see Atlanta give him a shot...........

WSJ had an article about how there is a huge difference between reported attendance and scanned ticket numbers. I read it on my phone, but on the computer/iPad it's behind a paywall. Not a good trend for college football.
The announcement was 57,000 DISTRIBUTED, not scanned....they carefully worded that. So they're not even saying 57,000 sold OR attended. They had to give away tics just to CLAIM 57,000......

As far as the trend for College Football, pertaining to those asking/demanding/screaming for expansion to 6 or 8, is going in the wrong direction. I'm attaching a pic of the secondary market tics for the 2016 Bowls,

2016 Secondary Market Bowl Tics

Bowls 2016.jpeg

Just an F Y I, The Fiesta and Cotton were the CFP Semi-Finals
- Fiesta with Clemson/OSU @ $68
- Peach with Washington/Bama @ $189

...the remaining "Big Six Bowls"
- Rose @ $298
- Cotton @ $12, YES $12!! For a Big Six Bowl
- Orange @ $168, even with FSU as one of the teams
- Sugar @ $99 pitting Auburn vs Okie

That is what is holding back expansion.......

I'll try to pull up last year's. I do recall the Rose Bowl was the ONLY Bowl last year that had tickets on the secondary market listed above face value. Again, I'll try to pull up last yer's info, but it may not be possible ex post facto.....

Do want to point out the "Big Six" Bowls sold out, but many tickets were bought to resell, not by those who planned attending the games..... I attached a more detailed post of mine circa 2016...directly below

Just a thought for all the 8 team playoff peeps. Tickets to the semi-finals from the secondary market can be had for really cheap:

Fiesta - Clemson/Ohio State- $68 INCLUDING FEES
Peach - Alabama/Washington $189 INCLUDING FEES

While these games "sold out" when tickets were tickets were released, the cities hosting MUST be sweating the thoughts of empty seats, empty hotel rooms, and lack of tourist expenditures (now that so many tickets are back up and on the secondary market). The Playoff has, as predicted, REALLY reduced the stature of the other 4 of "Big Six", all other bowls, and quite frankly the two Semi-Final Games are suffering as well. My guess is many Clemson/OSU peeps are NOT traveling anywhere other than Tampa, and the same holds true for Bama Fans.

I don't see this going to 8, but might go to Six, with the top 2 getting a bye.

Tampa IS sitting on a Goldmine IF Bama beats Washington. Bama fans really want another shot at OSU and haven't forgotten OSU's no show last year in the playoff.....a rematch with Clemson would be tough to take.

The committee made it a point "sell" the 4th seed as the weakest team in. That way they could put OSU/Clemson in one semi-final so Bama would have a rematch of '14, or '15 in the Playoff Final. The committee was NEVER going to have OSU or Clemson play Bama in a semi-final. If Washington beats Bama.......

Hopefully we will see Bama/OSU in the Final....many hate a winner.....Urban and Nick

I bought a ticket to the 1994 seasons national championship game - Nebraska Miami in the orange bowl. $10. Pre legal scalping and the Internet, but still...it’s not a new thing. Friends in New Orleans 2 seasons later reported similar stories.

'94 or '84's Schnellenberger/Kosar team? THAT Miami team was stacked!! And started their dynasty...

The internet scalping actually HELPS the Bowl games, as some of the tickets would go unused......we've already bought ours for this year's CFP Championship in Santa Clara....just over $900 a piece and will go if game is a decent match-up, otherwise we'll dump and make a few pennies

FSU is really looked bad....Deondre Francois three picks AGAIN! Va Tech spanks FSU as bad as Bama did last year.....guess that's NOT a quality win for Va Tech?

After Week 1 Miami, Texas, FSU, Michigan and Washington have all lost......that's 4 of the Top 15 teams as far as odds to win the CFP...Washington might recover?

The areas that I’m a little concerned about is the OL, TEs, and our secondary. (CBs, FS, SS) Overall, I think we’re gonna have another great season, and hopefully be returning to the CFP. Saturday night is gonna be very interesting! Can’t wait to see the many tantrums Jimbo is gonna throw.

Yea Camping World stadium needs some serious work. I've been a season ticket holder for Orlando City since they've been in the MLS. First few seasons were at Camping World and it could definitely use some TLC. Especially for the amount of events it continuously hosts. Moving forward if they want to keep these bowl games/kickoff games/pro bowl/etc., I think it'll have to undergo some sort of refurb.

Also,

not a Bama fan by any means, buuuuuuuut, ole boy at QB looks like he should've been calling the plays the whole time. He's scary good.

I'm glad my Buckeyes have another week to work out the wrinkles before playing a decent TCU in Arlington. Excited about Haskins and the running game this year, though.

Hell of a game last night. I knew it would be a dogfight to the very end. It reminded me of the Notre Dame game from 2015. As much as I hate Jimbo, I think he's got something going this year and could make a run for the SEC west.

So proud of Kelly B and the way he played last night. He definitely sent a message to all of his haters. Don't get me wrong, Trevor Lawrence is a great player, but he couldn't have done what Kelly did late in the game, on the road, under pressure in a tough environment. We would have lost if he played anymore than he did in the 2nd half. Not hatin' on him at all, but at the end of the day, the QB who has the most experience playing in those types of games needs to be the one on the field.

We need to make some corrections on how our LBs and DBs read the QB, but overall, I'm proud of the way our guys played last night fighting to the very end.
