Just a map of where everything is as some people are worried on the Ukraine issues at the moment, the place where the Rissains are protecting thier port is closer to Turkey where the Maic goes this summer, than say St Petersburg.

So do you guys have any idea when they might actually make dates available for booking?

Well I have been posting on another forum that I think that 1 There are cruisers with 10% discounts that have to be used up by the end if next week, 2 The Med cruises paid in full dates are currently running through, and I think they do not want people to cancel those for 2015.

Therefore, my guess has been mid March, say in two weeks after these all have occurred.

After that they are dangerously close to Easter with staff snd potential cruisers away.

The 12 night Baltic's appear slightly different to 2010, do they go direct Dover to Copenhargen arrival circa 10 am and stay there till 8am the next day, staying overnight. They do not call in Oslo, the Oslo call seems to be on the Fjords cruises only.

Warnemunde would be the next Baltic cruise stop calling early say 6 am for trips to Berlin.

I guess autocorrect got you there.... My guess is that Warns undue ought to be Warnemünde...

Warning is due though: having lived in Berlin, I never would have thought of Warnemünde being Berlin's port since Berlin is very much an inland city. Of course one can travel the distance, but it's at least two hours of travel to get there!

So no Mediterranean until after August 3? That's so unusual. . . :cautious: o_O

Took us 2 hours and 45 minutes each way when we were there in 2010. Plus it was in the high 90's with no air conditioning on the train. That was a fun ride.

BTW, Brent was on the train with us that day. When I reminded him of that fact a couple years later, he responded, "Oh, that was disgusting!"

Personally, I have no overwhelming desire to see Berlin. I imagine they'd have some shorter excursions somewhere, and then back to the boat.

In 2010, if you didn't want to take the time to get to Berlin, there was an excursion available for $2000 per person to take a helicopter to the Meyer Werft shipyard to see the Dream under construction.

We didn't do that one.

$2000!!!!! I think not. I have 2 shipyards just down the road in Sturgeon Bay and Marinette. No, they ain't buildin' Disney ships, but, oh well.
