Repo Dover to Barcelona is one week via France, Portugal and Gibraltar.
Ugh, they all sound fantastic and any of the dates would work for us!! Any idea what airports I should be looking at? TIA

For Dover it's actually,

London Gatwick - closest.
London Heathrow.
Stansted

Dover is circa one hour from Gatwick or Central London by motorway, ( freeway), the others a bit longer, or just under an hour from where I live.

Yes! Sorry, I meant the port. The airport is London. So it's perfect to combine with a stay in London! :)

We could all go visit Andrew!! :D

Copenhagen is a wonderful city and I would strongly recommend that if this ends up being a home port to spend some days there. The food (and drinks even more) are expensive, but it is also very good. The city has such a lovely relaxed vibe and there is lots to see and do! I would be so tempted to go on one of the cruises leaving from there just in order to finally having to plan a visit to Copenhagen again!

I agree!! I visited there when I used to live in Germany. I would love to go back.

I understand that the Baltics / Norwegian Fjords is very expensive. In your experience how does the pricing compare to to the Med cruises? We've been planning for the Med in 2015, but are getting really excited about the Northern port possibilities.

Hi PensFan. Welcome to the forum. I sailed the Med in 2007 and the Baltic in 2010, both with DCL. Both times, we had verandah staterooms with 4 people in a room. I don't have the exact numbers, but my recollection is that the cost was similar. I think that our total for the Baltic, including 2 nights in London and airfare, was just over $10,000. The Med, including airfare and one night in Barcelona, was pretty close to that. I wish I could be more helpful, but I would have to dig through a LOT of stuff to find the invoices for those sailings (if I even still have them).

Question.....someone (I think it was DISNEY FANTASY) said cruises from Dover would be 12 nights and that makes sense with the port schedule. But how many nights do we think the Fjord cruises will be?

Just a guess price wise, I would at least double Royal Caribbean's price for their 7 day Fjords which are $750 inside$1000 outside and $1500 balcony per person.

I will also not be surprised if they are on the OBB black out list.

It makes sense that Disney is doing this with DCL after the movie Frozen since they started the Scotland tour with Adventures by Disney after Brave came out.

You can't fully tell at the moment as they could also home port in Copenhagen and and we have not go that piece of the jigsaw, I it could be 7 to 10 nights.

There are 14 nights between the port stops that we know but you could technically have seven night cruises alternating with Baltic, so we can't be 100%

Well for those who like brinkmanship, the Baltic cruises in 2010 did have discounts, awareness wasn't high, I suspect these will sell better, but early ones say before school holidays may not fill and you could snag a bargain.

I guess there will be a Dover to Barcelona repo on 3rd August that could be a five night one via Lisbon Portugal so could be cheap.
