I hate the bland questions they constantly ask athletes (of any kind) on post-game interviews. "Take us through this move." "How does it feel to win a medal?" It's about the same as the last time I answered these questions.

It's worse with mainstream sports like football and basketball here in the States.

I agree. The NFL is horrible in post-game interviews. And when the sideline reporters speak to the coach before halftime is just pointless.

Any comment on the Bode Miller interview? I watched it when it was originally broadcast. It really did feel like the interviewer lady was digging for tears. Came off quite heartless. Regardless of what anyone has said since, I thought it was pretty tacky overall. Bode's wife wasn't far away when it happened. I promise had that been my husband there'd been some slappin' going down.

Overall, I think the coverage has been kinda scattery. Like during the skating if I didn't catch what country was being represented at the start of a performance I wouldn't know. And why do we see no medal ceremonies?

The lack of medal ceremonies is not impressive ...

I, personally, would go with this face.

WOW...Canada almost choked that one away to Latvia. I had my LAT-VI-A chant all ready. Should be a hell of a game on Friday between the US and Canada.

The Czech's showed a little fight, but the US was just too much for them. Lots of dirty goals for the US and not the fancy ones which is encouraging to me. I would like to see Kaner pot a few himself, but I have a feeling the goals will be coming on Friday...just a hunch after watching him his whole career.

Had the results live-updating on my computer and was following a live Twitter feed (all while getting work done, of course). ;) SHOCKED that Lipnitskaya fell - I read in an interview after the team event that she said she "wasn't nervous" but that was a week ago no...I guess she's had time to think about it. Defending Olympic champ Kim in first place, sounds like USA skaters had a great day - Gracie Gold is in 4th, Ashley Wagner is in 6th and Polina Edmunds is in 7th (which I think might be sort of a surprise? She's only 15 and this is her first international competition!).

I don't follow figure skating as closely and it's been frustrating not to really be able to SEE any of the performances between work (when they are shown live) and wanting to go to bed at a reasonable hour (NBC always airs skating too late for me...I'm sure they'll tease the women's short program all night and show it late for ratings). But Gold is 6 points behind the top 3, Wagner is 9 points behind the top 3 and Edmunds is 13 points out of the top 3. I think Edmunds won't medal for sure, Wagner and Gold maybe have an outside shot IF they are perfect and the top 3 falter.

Despite this USA Today claim that the US women's bobsleigh team had "basically" already won gold, Canada's Heather Moyse and Kaillie Humphries claimed it this afternoon!!! I'm pretty proud to say that Heather is a fellow Prince Edward Islander. #WeAreWinter

You know what's funny?
I would like to note that they showed the medal ceremony for Davis and White last night, around 10:30pm CT, about 36 hours after they actually won.

I was kinda ed that they did not air it on the day they actually won. This was also the moment I realized my house is controlled by women, where either ice dancing or sofia the first is on TV.

I watched it at 1130 pm my time. I don't understand why so late.

Yeah- I don't get it. Their coverage is just a pathetic mess!

If given the choice...I think I'd take ice dancing. At least there may be some witty banter if some unfortunate pair botches their twizzles.

I also join your frustration over the (weeknights) late coverage. It's so frustrating when they keep telling you that the figure skating is coming up for viewing, and they might start showing it after 10 PM (EST). I have to be up early every morning for work, and I'm too tired to stay up late watching even the sports I love. :(

Looks like I was right about the hockey semis. Sweden-Finland and US-Canada. I embrace the rematch on Friday!

Watching the last figure skating group now. Ooooohhh....soooooo glad y'all told me I could find this stuff live! BUT, would be so much nicer not to have to watch it on my iPad! I'd much prefer the big tv! LOL!

Ugh, what a massive choke job by the US women. Up 2 goals with under 5 minutes to play, up one goal with under a minute to play and then lose it in Overtime. And none of this happens if that clear down to the empty net is a half inch to the right and goes in instead of hitting the pipe. I was particularly upset by the play that led to the breakaway in Overtime. What a horrible pass from the side of the net. The girl moving in was a lefty shot and the puck was put to her right side. It wasn't even close to being a good pass. Which was turned around into a breakaway. At this high of a level, I expect good passing to a wide open teammate.

I still don't understand why they only have 1 referee for the women's games. There were many missed calls for both sides. And that first call against the US in overtime to make it 3 on 3 was especially weak. The puck was shot and the girl swatted for a rebound. Wasn't a big swing at the goalie and an extremely marginal call at best...honestly not a penalty. Then in OT the Canadian on a clear cut breakaway, gets taken down from behind and they call a cross check. It should have clearly been a penalty shot. She was in clean from the blue line(if not the red line). If the US would have won, Canada would have had a reason to be upset about that play. I hope for a better result tomorrow for the US Men's team.

The fact they were playing not to lose rather than getting that third goal was not a good strategy given the firepower of the Canadian team. Bottom line is, in any sport, when the game is on the line, you can not be too careless but you cannot not be too careful either. And that mindset needs to be true every period/quarter, every minute, every second. Hoping for a better result from the men.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

No offense - but I am hoping for the SAME RESULT FROM THE MEN!

GOOOOOOOOOO CANADA!
