2014: What's in store?

Where is the Meet and Greet with Oswald that I was promised last year during my visit by a cast member?

Anyhoo here are my guesses

MK:
- 7 Dwarves Mine Ride to open late fall instead of early 2015 as previously stated
- Festival of Fantasy parade
Epcot:
- Morocco restaurant update
- Soarin update to HD and be WDW themed instead of the Disneyland Themed one that is shown. Possible other locations. No refurb to ride itself but new updated movie & scents to accompany it.
DHS:
- Official announcement of a major refurb that will bring in Star Wars Land, Expand Pixar Studios with a Monsters Inc. coaster, and either a mini cars land (Not mini Cooper's just smaller then California's) addition but it is possible the carsland idea might get nixed all together.
DAK:
- Avatarland will show signs of real construction
- Park open later in evening with nighttime entertainment - either parade or I read somewhere but 1/2 believe it fireworks (The park has animals not sure how they would like the fireworks each night)

I think 7 Dwarfs Mine Ride will open in May. But Soarin updatesand Animal Kingdom nightime ent. prob not till 2015-2016.

I assume you meant 2014 for the mine ride not 2015. Looking at the progress I think they are on target to have it open by Spring.

It's done so TWDC can show 'growth' in their Parks and Resorts division,

Same reason they boost the price of ESPN to the cable companies every year. It's going to be interesting Dish may be saying Sayonara to Disney/ESPN as part of their basic package this year.

I'll be there at least 4 times to take advantage of my remaining time on AP! I'll be sure to let everyone know when my limited time magic appearances are....!

it will be this year, This will be the great driver which moves people to UNI, Disney AP is now 609+tax
UNI premier pass is 419 and it includes FOTL after 4PM with the exception of HP

Plus if you look at the locals they are dumping their DIS AP's for UNI AP's - Not a good sign.

Personally NOT a UNI fan and last visit was in 2003 at a corporate event.

How many people actually buy a single day ticket?
I wouldn't notice if they hit the $100 threshold, as I always buy 9 or 10 day Park Hoppers, which are worked into the overall vacation quote.
You can say that's Disney's way of pulling one over on me, but that's how most vacation packages work (cruises, all-inclusives), so I'm fine with it.

That said, IIRC the guy who mentioned the "mystery project (Rees?) typically is involved with film projects, so many speculated it might be a new film for Eo or UoE or even in the World Showcase (France?).

Any announcement about Imagination Sponsor I hope it will be Nikon and a new film for EO theatre I hope!

I'd be surprised. Live sports is about the last thing that people will still watch in real time---and the rights-holders have steadfastly refused to stream it live unless you also have a bundled pay subscription.
