Instead of seeing the bad in this..perhaps its an opportunity for the annoyed and disappointed fans to 'speak out'? Lets all dress like Figment day? A 'no magic bands day'? A 'Keep the Muppets' Day? As stupid as their idea is...hey social media got Veronica Mars made into a movie. Lets maybe try to use this new promotion to our advantage for once?

I'm fairly certain LTM is worse than anything they can spit at us next year.

But this seems so troll-y, don't you guys think so?

Edit. But for the record, I kinda like the idea....a lot. Get kids to think out of the store bought princess box and into DIY. It's a current trend lately.... And pretty interesting. Uses imagination, and in today's electronic driven world.... That's never a bad thing.

I'm all for Disneybounding- those kids have some great ideas, passion, creativity- and they are having fun! I'm all for seeing someone make something they like out of Disney, instead of sitting around complaining that Disney isn't being made into something they like.

Even more than Disneybounding, the company should be doing all they can to encourage and capitalize on Dapper Day. People dressing nicely again to visit the parks (instead of like slobs) - now THAT would be a way to encourage more of the kinds of guests with some extra pocket money to burn.

Of course if these things are officially embraced by Disney Corporate, it may wash off some of the "coolness" factor for those who started these creative outlets, but then again, who knows? They are started out of love for Disney, after all.

Not even sure what "Disneybounding" is.

"Show us your Disney side!"
No.

Check out this tumblr to see the types of outfits they are talking about.

The pages go in "themes", which today is Princes, so I would go thru several pages to get an idea of what the variety and cleverness of outfits can really be. For instance, I love the "matching but not" outfits for two girls who want to disneybound as Flotsam and Jetsam.

Those are cute! I'd have done that, years ago. :)

I think the adds are cute and take advantage of something happening already. My sister (in her early 20s) told me about Disneybounding just the other day for the first time. I think it's cute to "dress up" like a Disney character using everyday clothes to represent them.

So basically...theyre sending me to third parties to dress up in a homage to my favorite Disney character? As opposed to selling me merch that I may actually buy to make them money?

Oh, I love that outfit, especially the honeycomb bracelet.

I'm very excited about going to Dapper Day. (Save the date- 9/21 everyone who is interested) I just got a new vest from the clearance rack at Dillard's- charcoal grey with wide navy trim! A navy tie and charcoal pants, my black bowler hat, shine up my dress shoes, and I'm all set. Just gotta decide what color shirt to wear. I'd love to go with a pure white linen, but I know that would only look nice for a short time while wandering the park, so I'm thinking lavender or baby blue.
