Get your tails down here, already, or we'll come find you and, so help me, we'll drag you down here ourselves, tip you upside-down and shake the darn money from your tight, little, stingy pockets!! I think the new theme is.

The year of stitch

When you send a picture of you or a family member dressed as stitch, the whole family gets free tickets

They will also do this to the castle

And it will be the opening year of Stitch Mountain and STA (stitch's transit authority)

:wave::wave: Wave until stitch is here! :lookaroun

Hmm.. that first pin...10 Times the Fun...think it'll cross to WDW as a pin or new theme? I think it's silly to devote a whole year to a decade not truly related to Disney at all. Unless they're celebrating the Millennium...Bring back Tapestry of Nations???? (sigh) Wishful Thinking... :o

And from the lanyards, seems to be that they're trying to capitalize those Vinylmation figurines. I believe it's a rather dumb idea...You have no clue if you might get the same figurine or not...then you want to collect them all...Beanie Babies, anyone??

I am sure it's cute for many, I just don't think it's worthwhile...then it would be like the sad state of pins nowadays...

I don't care for Vinylmation, but I do collect pins.:o
Anyways, they're coming out with Vinylmation pins - the same designs as the actual vinylmation series I believe.
I will not be getting them, but I guess that's why they put vinylmation on the lanyard.

I do hope so. It's nice as a notable year, but not something grand enough to celebrate.

Of course, I can see the 50th of WDW as two years, with related merchandise, themed monorails, and (hopefully) new attractions!

Why do we have to celebrate something? Why not just a year where you go and have a great time. It doesnt have to be anything special. Just a plain and simple Disney World Vacation. Go and enjoy, type thing. :)

I remember this from the Disney Magazine, when they showed it. I was disgusted. Especially that fake graffiti behind the MIB. :brick:

I still like the Castle Cake overlay from the 25th.

I was there that day! My family and I had a view from our room at the Contemporary and when we woke up we were so confused. My sister said, "It looks like someone wrapped the castle!" But we were all though, "No...that can't be!"
I thought it was hilarious! Definitely something Stitch would do and seeing as it was the opening day of Stitch's Great Escape it made sense.
Plus, how many people can say they were there when the castle was TPed? =P

As for the 2010 theme...I havn't a clue what they are thinking of, but I'm sure it'll be great! It always is with Disney!

WDW 2010: 10 Times The Fun??? Can't be. There is no magic, celebrate, wishes or dreams in it. Wait, I got it:

WALT DISNEY WORLD 2010: CELEBRATING TEN TIMES THE DREAMS, WISHES, AND MAGIC,

I have to admit.. when I call for our ADR's before the trip, this usually makes me cry.

One thing I missed this year vs. last year was that last year, it seemed all the cast members said "Have a Magical Day". This year, we only heard it a few times. :([/quote]

2010: You know what? we can't be arsed any more, here have this half done SM, and no, we're not fixing the yeti any time soon. And while we're at it, Beastly Kingdom won't be coming soon, so just give up ok, this won't stop anyone coming.

Attention.

The 2010 WDW Celebration will be a celebration of Disneyland's 55th Anniversary.

That is all.
