No one can beat wannabebelle as definitely the Poster Child for Disney. Every 5 minutes she calls me to tell me either about a post, new codes, when she is going (which according to my calendar is every 2 months), etc. She keeps everyone on target with the latest news and gossip! :lol:
Also, whenever she comes by she is always wearing something Disney. I think my 7 year old believes she works there. :brick:

Don't you think you would get better action here if you uncoupled and put it in News and Rumors? We could be sure to bump it to keep it on the front burner.
Before you do that, if you do, I would suggest simplifying by just having your categories that would be filled in...no freelancing...

Vote HERE? What ever happened to secret ballot? We even get to read who voted for what on the polls now!
All right - I haven't been around for 12 months, so maybe my votes get 1/4 weight, which is probably more than they deserve. And I apologize in advance to the witty, personable board members who I just haven't read enough of to fully appreciate. The people with more contributions are probably going to stand out at this point. Quantity . . . who says post counts don't matter? Turkey (leg boy)?
Most Opinionated: This seems potentially, mmm, divisive. These are supposed to be awards, right? So opinionated in a good way as opposed to know it all? Okay then, General Grizz, for carrying the banner for company reform.
Abuse of Smilies: Awards are for positive contributions, right? Then my vote has to go to MKT, right? He's always bringing new smilies to the board - running the b.s. flag up the pole comes to mind.
This is going to be a disaster - I'm only two votes into this and I already feel like a suck-up.
Post-Hog: I am not sure I know what this means. Do you mean gets into a lot of threads and livens them up? There are so many people who do that in a good way. I can only cast one vote, and so it goes to Tigsmom because she usually is game to get into a thread and give some welcome input.
Best Avatar: Finally, a straight-up category with no back-handed compliments! I liked Bwana Bob's lights, but he took them down. Plus, he's running the poll, so he's disqualified! Turkey leg boy's grimace was great, but it is gone. Many people here change their avatar on a regular basis, so that makes this tough. wdwmagic's changing avatar depicting Mission:Space is great, but he owns the place so he's also dq'ed! I like an avatar that stays consistent and is unique so that when I see it, I know exactly whose post I am about to read. So for all these reasons, my vote goes to Pam of Kingdom Konsultant with her Mickey Mouse walking in the picture frame avatar. Very nice! Somebody copied it. Tsk Tsk! Imitation is sincere flattery though.
Most Trusted Source: This is a toughie, but my vote goes to Lee in a close vote with Corrus and others whose names I'd have to go and look up. Hey, I'm still new - cut me some slack! I know who they are, but their names aren't at the tips of my fingers just yet!
Imagineer: I'll vote for Patrick of ISTCREW20 here. Youth must be served, and he's always coming up with imaginative ways to keep the parks fresh and fun. I'm sure we would all have fun spending a day with him and his crew running around the property!
Poster-Child There are so many good, contributing people here, that the temptation to give one person two awards must be avoided. That doesn't mean I am thinking of someone else for this award, but many people could rightfully claim this title. My vote goes to WannaBeBelle. She was so nice to me when I came aboard, and is very involved with the board and members outside the board.
Lastly, Best Picture: This has to be Maria the Princess I don't know if this was taken in the last year, but it is new to me. I want to sign up for that princess breakfast, no doubt!

Hello all...
Just some quick answers:
-Posting this thread in a different forum was my intent (remember WDWMagic awards?) Problem was, after MANY friends suggested (Steve too!), that forum received nowhere near as many 'hits' as Chit-Chat or General info. To be consistant with site rules, the nature of the thread would not allow it in Gen. info, so here we are! I asked for more exposure, and Steve hooked me up.
-The 'Poll' theory was the way I wanted this to go, problem was, how do you nominate & vote at the same time? As for PM's to me?...Let me tell you, you would never have been able to send me one with everything else involved with planning the meet! (200 is the max...I've been close!) Plus the logistics of keeping the post current and in front of everyone would have probably limited it to just my signature line.
-Lastly; Yes, some of these were intended to be 'Gag' in nature, while others were more sincere. We have never done anything like this before, and I'm hoping that this lives up to everyones expectations! I'm on the board twice daily just trying to keep up with everything and keeping others 'in the loop'.
Yes, you will probably be able to surmise the winners prior, but why spoil it! The actual certificates will be handed out at the meet. (If I can get THAT straightened out! :hammer: )
