And also, just a reminder for everyone (and definitely not just a reminder for me cause I have issues with this every other round but this one it seems)

EVEN IF EVERYONE SEEMS ON TRACK WITH ONE IDEA DO NOT BE AFRAID TO THROW OUT OTHER IDEAS> YOUR IDEAS ARE VALID AND WE WANT TO HEAR THEM AND IF PEOPLE KEEP TALKING OVER IT SAY IT AGAIN!
You're right. It's time for me to pitch furry Fantasyland again. How realistic do we think a Sonic licensed attraction would be? Rogue the Bat could be our land's mascot.

Also, picture it: Musical Fantasyland, 1986. A brand new music hall has opened up. Who could be inside? A famous artist? A concert band? No. Better.

IT'S THE CHICKEN LITTLE SPICE GIRLS SING-ALONG.

Sing Along to your favorite Spice Girls Hits with Runt of the Littler and Abby Mallard!

I'll tell you what I want... What I really really want: THIS SHOW

Ooooorrrrrr a Royal Dalton Music Hall, open air, multiple short shows, center of the land where the merry go round would be. So the land is always full of music (including Spice Girls if we wanted :P )

Another idea because the creative juices are FLOWING.

What about DisneySEA, but FantaSEA. Have a central lagoon with multiple "ports" along it for different Disney films. Could tie to a location or a mythology too. Have a Greek Mythology Port (Hercules), a Scandanavian Port (Frozen), a Chinese Port (Mulan), a German Port (Tangled), a South American Port (Emperor's New Groove), etc. You could walk around it or take a boat through it. It'd also help tie into the running water theme we've sort of gone with so far

That's... not a bad idea actually. Would be a really cool way to integrate all the IPs into a theme that makes sense.

Maybe drunk brainstorming is a good idea...

I will add that one to the brainstorm list we got so far. Once the thread settles (cause I am usually up latest, or at least past the crazy this has been) I am gonna take all our core ideas and list them out. Tomorrow I am hoping for some more fleshed out and composed (i.e. not drunk @PerGron ;P) pitches for lands other than seasonally that way we can get a good idea of everything out there and everyone has a chance to reply and pitch their ideas without getting buried.

Sat in the shower thinking about this one.

I really like how MK has the stuff inside the castle walls, and the stuff outside.

How about we do something like that? Heading from the castle, we could have like 2 rides inside the walls, then we transition out, and to the left would be an enchanted forest home to a Bambi ride that would transition nicely into a future frontier land (woodland critters, makes perfect sense). I also think having a ride based off of the animated Robin Hood would be epic.

I'm also open to the lake idea, but I think that would be too complicated/overboard, sounds alot like what Disney is trying to do to World Showcase at EPCOT.

Hey, guys! Sorry I took so long to post something here (I'm usually in bed by 10:30).
Casting a very wide net, here’s all the Disney animated IPs which it seems we can still use. (Ignoring stuff like Jungle Book which simply do not fit Fantasyland.)

Fantasia / Fantasia 2000

Bambi

Make Mine Music / Fun and Fancy Free / Melody Time

The Adventures of Ichabod

Cinderella

Lady and the Tramp

Sleeping Beauty

One Hundred and One Dalmatians

The Sword in the Stone

The Aristocats

Robin Hood

The Black Cauldron

The Great Mouse Detective
The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Hercules

Mulan

Chicken Little

The Princess and the Frog

Tangled

Frozen / Frozen II
Hercules would be great. Sleeping Beauty I already have a ride in mind. Cinderella, The Aristocats and The Great Mouse Detective would make great Classic dark rides. Fantasia themed Carousel. Frozen 2 and Tangled have beautiful music and scenery.
What if we did a Seasonal Fantasyland? Have different seasons with different rides tied into them?
If there’s an opportunity for a Nightmare Before Christmas attraction. LETS DO IT!
This brings up another interesting thought...

Furry Fantasyland. Everything is Robin Hood, Lion King, and Zootopia. It is sponsored by Deviant Art.

I like all of these ideas. Admittedly, my distaste for Frozen is kind of making me dislike all the Frozen suggestions, but I do understand them. I think a Nightmare Before Christmas dark ride would be a lot of fun.

Sorry I missed some of this initial brainstorming.

I would definitely love a music-themed Fantasyland, but there is a lot of merit to a seasonal Fantasyland with sub-lands to it. I could see the Castle Courtyard as a spring festival, followed by an enchanted forest that transitions from summer to fall as we venture deeper in, leading to a village in winter with snowcapped roofs.

As for IPs, it's neat to consider the possibilities when not using the classic Fantasyland IPs. A few potential thoughts:

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas (perhaps as our rail-system dark ride in place of Peter Pan's Flight, with guests riding in Jack's coffin sleigh)
  • Robin Hood (not a great film, but could make a fun dark ride)
  • Cinderella
  • Sleeping Beauty
  • Frozen (my thought is a Matterhorn-style roller coaster, through the mountains and Elsa's ice palace)
  • Tangled
  • Mary Poppins (seriously, how is there no Mary Poppins attraction at any Disney park yet?)
  • Sword in the Stone (perhaps as a Dumbo-style spinner, based around the Higitus Figitus song)
  • Hercules
  • Fantasia (seriously, no Fantasia attraction either?)
  • Silly Symphonies

I really like the idea of having a dark ride or two based on one of the Silly Symphonies. A Cookie Carnival dark ride could be fun, I feel. Or, if we want a music-themed Fantasyland, how about a Music Land ride?

Interesting idea. It does help that Cookie Carnival has a really distinctive visual style to it.

My own thought (admittedly from my own idea for a Silly Symphonies dark ride) was that it would take you through three of the shorts (my idea was Three Little Pigs, The Skeleton Dance, and Music Land). That way, we can reflect the variety of the shorts while still giving whole stories for guests to enjoy.
