Alright, so we have 5 1/2 days left on this project, and I think we all definitely want to have ample time to design the park. So, for that reason, I think by the end of tonight we should settle on a theme. After that, we can break down different IP and whatnot to fit within it.

We don’t need to aim for something as complex as we tried with Adventureland, but I still think having a unified theme and some sort of story for why it is all there is a good idea to keep with the level of theme we have going for the park.

We should also try to tie in literature and water somehow to keep the theme flowing (pun very much intended)

Yes
That was left out for a reason.

Jk jk I’ll add it rn lmao
Definitely don't add it in lol.

Maybe a literature themed Fantasyland! Not like famous literature or anything but famous Disney movies that originally were based on books or fairytales or folktales. Robin Hood, The Hunchback of Norte Dame, and Princess stories. Heck, even NBC was based on a poem by Tim Burton.
Whether it is huge or not, there definitely should be a lake or fountain or river in the center. Even if it is mostly just a "moat" around the carousel or something like Paris has.

I also think with any theme we do, having some storybooks and things in a few key places would be a good idea.

I've got no problems with trackless, but the ride needs a reason to use that system. Or else you wind up with things like the new BatB ride in Tokyo which has one amazing scene and great animatronics, but most of the ride has giant empty rooms and slow pacing. Trackless just for the sake of it being the new tech or just for a single scene isn't good in my book.
Absolutely. It should be something that can take advantage of the trackless system for the storytelling.

For example, my own pick for a trackless dark ride might be Fantasia, in terms of sailing through scenes and synchronizing the motion of ride vehicles to music.
Made this little list of all of our ideas for the people who are just waking up and don't want to see us fight over princes and talk about Frozen songs for 7 pages.

  • Chicken Little Land
  • Mythos Land
  • Studio themed Fantasyland
  • Musical Fantasyland
  • Snowy Fantasyland
  • 4 seasons Fantasyland
  • Furry Fantasyland
Sorry if I forgot something. It is hard to find stuff in all the nonsense last night lmao.
Personally, my vote would be for the four-seasons Fantasyland, for the sub-land idea I mentioned earlier.

I don't have a problem with any of these themes. Any of my ideas for Fantasyland could be tweaked to fit into any of these focuses. With the exception of the studio theme and joke ones like Chicken Little, elements of all of these can be included in the others.

I agree we should try to have one picked tonight. But there's no rush if anyone else has more overarching ideas

Only one I can notice missing is the FantaSEA where it’s different ports to connect the IP’s together

Yeah, we’ll set up a vote for tonight, but we’ll also give the day for anyone to throw out, tweak, or elaborate any other ideas
I 100% agree with picking a theme today because that will give me the weekend to do major work/modeling.

I (hopefully) won't be so busy this time.

That's right! I was intrigued by the idea of a mini-fantasy world showcase kind of thing. Could easily devolve into a bunch of loosely connected mini-lands, but if it is pulled off it could be cool
I agree! I think it could be the hardest to pull of (so that it doesn’t seem like random IP’s all jumbled together) but if we could pull it off, I think it’d be stunning!

For the backstory, what if Snow White was inviting all the princesses to her realm for a "great princess festival"? That would explain why there are all these tents and stories from various princesses around the world (or whatever other IP we use). We could still have the same level of backstory as Harbortown and Adventure Atoll but include all the precious IPs.

I'm not suggesting this as a "theme" per se, because this could work in pretty much any Fantasyland proposal we soo choose.

THIS!

This is a perfect idea, it could be sort of a fantasy fair with the rides being sort of an exhibition of each princess realm like the world showcase. Simply put, a princess convention in old medieval tent style.

It also would be the perfect example of showcasing what architecture we can pull off.

I'm thinking of having a small town between the two with castle walls. It would still get that classic Fantasyland feel while going with something revolutionary and exciting!
