The WDW version of the Tiki Room...as much as I really do enjoy how much more large scale the physical space is, falls short because of the absolutely inferior pre-show and the fact that they cut out a decent chunk of dialogue and jokes which just hurts my brain every time as someone who's long since memorized the Disneyland version of the soundtrack.
The Floridian pre-show was tailor-made exclusively for their version, hence why Claude refers to the show as "a tropical serenade". I kinda got some enjoyment out of it. Who wouldn't love seeing Sebastian Cabot and Dallas McKennon riffing off each other?

Also, does California still do the Offenbach thing, or was that cut there, as well?

Hm, not sure I'm digging the gold-leaf, given the less-cartoony and more realistic design of this French cul-de-sac compared to Paris' Place de Remy. Granted, Parisian architecture does use gold leaf as an accent but I think the last place it would be on is a Hausmann building.

Nice to see that they retained the circular marquee design from Paris' finalized marquee though, as well as the continuation of the "Metropolitain" Art Deco lettering seen at the entrance of the new area:

Question of the Day
Who are some of your favorite parks original characters?
Orange Bird and Figment. Orange Bird is just so adorable how could you not stan him, almost bought a 36 dollar pinpack for one Orange Bird pin yesterday 😅
Figment is second for similar reasons very enjoyable character, plenty of cute merchandise, and untapped potential for a great ride later on down the line.
