When did I ever drop from a game and then everyone dropped with me? I'm pretty sure that never happened
I got the details wrong on that. You didn't drop out. What happened was it was the game where @MANEATINGWREATH and I were captains of one team and you were the captain of the other. MEW and I both had really busy schedules so the balance was a little uneven. The host decided to swap captains to the opposite teams and I'm pretty sure literally all of your team dropped out en-mass. That was definitely one of the more traumatizing bits of drama I've had on here and I think you can agree that level of "cult of personality" was really ridiculous and frankly I'm really glad you've been brought down to our level in the ensuing years 🤣

For that game was I had more time to coach and you guys didn't. So some folks on our team who were new to team games felt that a more active coach being taken away was punishment, as well as a myriad of other things behind the scenes that made it tough to continue. It could have been handled better for sure on all accounts, but I don't wanna rehash stuff that is water under the bridge almost 4 years ago.

I just don't see how that's a cult of personality when it was simply a matter of me having more free time back then.

Which park has your favorite Fantasyland?
Disneyland

I have a thing for attractions that have indoor/outdoor components. It's tough to have many in Florida due to the rain, but my favorite spot was seeing the outdoor Alice portion, next to the monorail, next to the Matterhorn. It gives an old-fashioned amusement park feel with the Disney theme.

Hot take: I’m not a fan of any fantasyland really. I like the individual attractions in some of them, but as a land as a whole has never been my favorite. I like a land with a backstory (clearly) and fantasyland has always just felt like a hodgepodge of IP

Paris: It is the most beautiful

Disneyland: It has the best overall attraction lineup

Tokyo: It has the best attraction (Hunny Hunt)

No single park's Fantasyland stands out for me as the very best, but a Fantasyland which combines the best of these three (plus perhaps Shanghai's scale and Magic Kingdom's immersion) would be the ideal.

That's one of the things I like about WDW's Fantasyland. It isn't much, but it does have some thematic/visual cohesion and different sections that all work together with the Castle Court, the Festival, the Enchanted Forest beyond the Castle Walls, the Circus deep in the woods... There is thought into how it all fits together.

I'm in a similar boat kinda but I like the rides so much that it doesn't really bother me and it manages to hold my interest longer than some of the other lands.

For me my hot take land I'm not a fan of is Adventureland, wonderful theming but none of the rides (outside of maybe Indiana Jones Adventure) really interest me in any way. Sorry Tiki Room and Jungle Cruise fans! Though I only experienced Disneyland's so maybe it's different in other parks, but my lack of interest in Disneylands kinda keeps me from looking elsewhere, plus I feel like other areas do the theme of adventure more justice (Animal Kingdom and DisneySea come to mind).

Disneyland, hands down. I'll be absolutely heartbroken if the Storybook Land area ever goes away because that's a big part of it. There's something about having that little park area in the back with Cinderella's castle poking out over the hill from the Fantasyland courtyard. There's so many other little touches as well that just makes it magical. Dumbo's little side area with the organ and hedges. Hands down the best collection of old school dark rides in any of the Magic Kingdoms. Snow White's Wishing Well (I'm still stuck on the idea Mickeyfan and I had a couple podcasts ago about rebranding the whole castle area after Snow White).

Even Fantasy Fair which I was incredibly skeptical about since I always had a soft spot for the Carnation Gardens turned out to be a fantastic addition that expanded the scope of Fantasyland in a really natural way. The only part of our Fantasyland I don't really care for is the giant wide walkway on your way to Small World. Probably the most "empty" feeling area in the whole park tbh. But then you have the Small World plaza itself and OMG what a timeless feeling that whole area gives off.

I love Magic Kingdom's castle, but that's really about it. I enjoy Seven Dwarfs for the kinetic energy it brings to the land, but man the whole thing just feels like such a hodgepodge. The castle courtyard having no actual dark rides is such a huge blow compared to Disneyland's flawless quadrant. The Small World/Peter Pan area is an absolute nightmare. Much has been said about how underwhelming the Beauty and the Beast stuff is especially compared to Tokyo. The Little Mermaid ride is gorgeous but is awkwardly placed behind Mine Train and I always forget it's there. Then you have Storybook Circus which is fine but nothing amazing (at least it's better than DinoRama...) and the really weird Pooh/Mad Tea Party area which SLAMS right into the Tomorrowland Speedway with absolutely no transition whatsoever.

At least you guys have BY FAR the better Tomorrowland ;)

You know it's weird I like both in different ways. I love Disneyland's aesthetic more than wdw's (both pre and post "all white" remodel), it's full of e-tickets, it has the better space mountain, but WDW's had the better storyline with the convention center and all of it's space is actually being used. Plus WDW's still has the Peoplemover (though I am still in the camp that if the budget was there Rocket Rods would have been really good).
