I like the idea of having different leaders per section of the park and kind of dividing us up amongst the section we most want to work with. Of course we can waffle between, but if someone prefers to work in Wakanda while another prefers Shangri-La, having a leader for each would help to develop this park a bit quicker I think.
Club 32 was a solid 2 or 3 month effort. And I think that what made Disneyland Sydney so totally wonderful was the fact that we were all having a fun time doing what we love. To nudge something along quicker, that might cut the fun sometimes. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, but if we do it we should be doing it for reasons other than just speeding up the process

I agree if speed is what people want that would work well. However taking a while will make the project really detailed and thought out.

To organize things a bit, it seems like folks are not sure whether we are doing the Lost Worlds concept for the full park, or are still discussing the park's overall theme.

So, let's put it to a vote!

A. Go with the Lost Worlds Concept

B. Continue brainstorming for something else
So here's a list of our proposed attraction ideas so far (underlined are new ideas I'm adding right now). These are suggestions; none are set-in-stone. We should keep brainstorming more!

"Main Street" Base Camp
Soarin' Over the Lost Worlds (PERFECT!)
Boat transportation ride (Is it too similar to TDS's Steamers?)
Maybe a museum omnimover

Shangri-La
Modified Expedition Everest

El Dorado
Pirates of the Caribbean
Coco-themed whip ride
Conquistador Trail animal walkthrough (DAK-style)
TBD El Dorado ride (coaster or log flume)
Voladores swing spinner ride

discover-2010-1-voladores-ceremonia_848x476_adaptiveResize.jpg

Voladores of Mexico

Atlantis
Submarine dark ride (like - but not copying - DisneySea's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)
Highly-themed aquarium attraction

Antarctica
Slot car (Test Track) ride (proposed Journey to the Center of the Earth clone might violate DisneySea exclusivity contracts; how about a variation on an ice drill journeying into the dinosaur-filled Hollow Earth)

Camelot (or different name)
Brave shooting gallery
Dragon coaster
Trackless King Arthur dark ride (entering the tapestries & manuscripts 2.5-D like Runaway Railway) - Are we going original with this or adapting Disney's "Sword in the Stone?"

Lemuria
NOTHING YET

Wakanda (seems to be the preferred African lost world)
Vibranium Mine drop tower

Mt. Olympus
Hercules-themed log flume ride
Greek labyrinth maze
The Muppets perform in a Greek theater (portraying the gods?)

Arabian Lost City (name TBD)
Indiana Jones Adventure
1001 Nights nighttime show
Hanging Gardens walkthrough
Aladdin carpet spinner clone
Aladdin suspended dark ride (our version of Peter Pan)

Other ideas
Muppet Treasure Island subbing in for Tom Sawyer Island
Tower of Terror with Benjamin Hightower (alternate proposal: set in an Arabian ziggurat inspired by the Tower of Babel)

Hmm I gotta say I like the lost world concept, but i think i'll miss the opportunity of really easily bringing multiple mythical worlds of different cultures together. Like just imagine a north american area with native american legends, the sasquatch, paul bunyan and inuit mythology. Or a european area with gryphons, dragons, fables (aka aesops), combined with creatures and legends from literature (king arthur, perrault, christian andersen), greek mythology etc. This is easier to use IP and still create immersive high themed lands (even though the IPs should be used in such a way that they wont break the themes). The lost world approach sort of limits it from being a "disney" park in a way for me and makes it feel like the German Phantasialand to me (which is an amazing theme park btw).

Which comes down to me voting for option B

It looks like we got 2 for A, 1 for B

This is a really well thought out reason, and in either case, I think if we go with Lost Worlds, it could use more of a disney touch for sure. And if we end up with B, I think there's still room to fit part of the Lost world concept into it, sort of like Disney's America being represented with Paradise Pier
