Why would any female character have to be in the girliest of outfits?why would Disney saddle the only black character with the most unflattering, informal, unisex, utilitarian costume yet devised for any Disney leading lady?

I am guessing they are gauging demand before they set a price.Very odd that we still don't have pricing for this one.
guessing...Little girls respond to Princess-style outfits. The more fantastic and sparkly the better... There was a very short line to visit Pantsuit Cinderella and Jumpsuit Belle...lolWhy would any female character have to be in the girliest of outfits?
Yeah…try it without Mickey waffles and baconThat was the glaring omission right from the get-go! That menu is not even remotely designed for the average child that would be dining there for the character experience. I'd be curious to see how poorly parents rate that breakfast after their children won't touch it.
She doesn't, but why is she informally (and in my opinion, frumpily) dressed when no other character will be? It doesn't fit the setting or the occasion, and makes her conspicuous for looking less elegant, less royal, and less sophisticated than the others, for no reason. Why would any female character have to be in the girliest of outfits?
Umm... lines do form up to meet peasant outfit Belle...There was a very short line to visit Pantsuit Cinderella and Jumpsuit Belle...lol
This is the same venue that once had a pantsless bear. She doesn't, but why is she informally (and in my opinion, frumpily) dressed when no other character will be? I'm talking about the characters and costumes that were just announced, and comparing them to one another. This is the same venue that once had a pantsless bear.
Well beyonce has decided she’s from a dude ranch now…so the walls have indeed come downWhy would any female character have to be in the girliest of outfits?
Also, because it's WDW, a place where most people go to get away from everyday life. A princess attire is special, and probably what many kids expect to see a princess wear.guessing...Little girls respond to Princess-style outfits. The more fantastic and sparkly the better... The setting at the Grand Floridian also makes one want the characters dressed in fancier attire... If Taian were appearing at the Wilderness Lodge, then her Explorer outfit would feel just right...
Very few of us see people dressed as old-time explorers in our day-to-day lives. Also, because it's WDW, a place where most people go to get away from everyday life.
You mean the costume she wore in 90% of the film?Umm... lines do form up to meet peasant outfit Belle...
lol indeed
If I didn’t know better (and I’m not sure I do?)…id think they’re trolling their fans.Is it just me or every time Disney makes a decision on something now I shake my head and facepalm
That doesn’t mean you have to have to agree with every thing they do…then go outside and chase the mailman after you go #2Very few of us see people dressed as old-time explorers in our day-to-day lives.

Isn’t that the truth.If I didn’t know better (and I’m not sure I do?)…id think they’re trolling their fans.
“You want what? Well how about I give you THIS?!?”
It reminds me of that scene In the their Star Wars movie where jar jar mugs for the camera in a scene…as if Lucas was just twisting the knife?
True. She could still wear her old-time explorer outfit at other locations where she wouldn't look underdressed and/or out of place, imo.Very few of us see people dressed as old-time explorers in our day-to-day lives.
People don’t go to those for the cuisineThere are so many other character breakfasts where you can get that. I'm glad they opted for something different. Also, most kids will gladly scarf down doughnut holes, cinnamon pull-apart bread, breakfast pizza (depending what's on it), and muffins. Most will eat the bread pudding too. I don't think it'll be as big an issue as you think.
