Fair enough. The Tremaines are definitely in Victorian style. I don’t think Tiana’s princess dress works all that well, though. I actually think a compromise between the bayou look and a gown could be nice. Like, similar silhouette on the upper body to the bayou jacket, but lose the hat, add formal gloves, and attach a subtle bustle dress.
Bustles were very much out of fashion by the 1920s; it would be highly anachronistic to have Tiana wear one.

For the film, yes. For 1900 Park Fare, I’m suggesting alternate costumes that fit with the restaurant.
But why would she be dressed to fit the time period of the restaurant when Aladdin and Mirabel aren’t? If capturing the turn-of-the-century feel is the priority, Tiana’s adventurer outfit, while unglamorous, is close to the mark already, as it’s pretty unchanged from what (male) explorers c. 1900 would have worn.

I wasn't suggesting Aladdin and Mirabel should stay. I was making two separate statements ... 1) Tiana works better than Aladdin and Mirabel since she was at least alive during the tail end of the correct time period, and 2) if they're going to use characters that don't quite fit, giving them new costumes à la Toppolino might be nice.

Here, you may meet Characters from classic Disney films, as well as newer favorites like Encanto and The Princess and the Frog. Each Character is known for making a wish… and making their wish come true.
These cherished friends may include:
  • Aladdin
  • Cinderella
  • Mirabel
  • Princess Tiana
Mirabel's wish for the miracle to bless her (if one can call it a wish) didn't actually come true...and of the others, only Tiana really worked to make her wish come true; the others needed outside help. And between that and the star motif of the pictured food, it's way too obvious that Asha was supposed to have Mirabel's place at this meal. I know it's nitpicking, but...

Who is Asha? lol
ACTUALLY putting all of the character...from whatever time period they are from, into late Victorian/ Edwardian fashion for the restaurant is a really fun idea...it would make those characters completely unique...and could be a draw. The interior would have to be dressed a little more elaborately to pull it off, but that could be a real thematic draw with uniquely dressed characters... It's not like they have not changed character costume designs over the years...

Pretty soon 'all started by a mouse' is going to be 'all started by Tiana'
Remember a few years ago Disney went crazy with the Frozen franchise where the sisters were in every park, had sing alongs, we at multiple dining locations, their own fireworks celebration, and of course their own ride. I thought back then they were pushing Mickey out. Now Tiana is doing the same thing. The big difference is Frozen was a very big money maker both in the theatre and in merchandise and Disney capitalized on it. Tiana’s everywhere presence is to promote the opening of a ride (and maybe a restaurant) in hopes children will want to ride it more than the parents miss Splash Mountain.

Yes.

(Starting with a tangent, I've really been trying hard not to say this, but honestly... why would Disney saddle the only black character with the most unflattering, informal, unisex, utilitarian costume yet devised for any Disney leading lady? Even explorer Jane Porter (from Tarzan) got to look beautiful and feminine. If you're going to promote the Splash retheme by pushing Tiana to the forefront, at least allow her to look her regal best! She's a princess making an appearance at a "stylish" restaurant (Disney's word), for crying out loud! And the movie already features her in its finale in a beautiful early 1900s gown, in an early 1900s restaurant, so the exact costume that this occasion calls for has already been designed and field-tested! This should have been a no-brainer.) [Exuent tangent.]

Rather, as you suggest, @James Alucobond, all of the characters should be wearing new or revamped elegant and formal early 1900s costumes, to fit with the restaurant's elegant and formal "early 20th century" theme. If putting a particular character (e.g., Aladdin) in that kind of outfit would look ridiculous, then that answers the question of whether they belong at this character meal at all!

Sorry, Disney. "Characters Who Wished For Something" does not a cohesive theme make! What's next, "Characters Who Talk?" "Characters Who Were Part of a Story"? "Characters Who Eat Food"? "Characters With Names?" ;)

It’s cute that they think they’re gonna do breakfast without vats of bacon and sausage…

…I’ll give it a week 😎
That was the glaring omission right from the get-go! That menu is not even remotely designed for the average child that would be dining there for the character experience. I'd be curious to see how poorly parents rate that breakfast after their children won't touch it.
