I used the PS Calculator website but I'm still confused. I haven't had to make 180+10 dining ressies for a few years.

We're arriving 10/14/14 - 10/23/14 and PS Calculator says 180 is 4/17/14 - I should be able to make all of my dining ressies online 6am (EST) that morning, right? the only thing I really care about is getting BoG

Thanks in advance!

Sounds right to me. If it helps, every time you log in to the Disney website (so long as you have your reservation "linked" to your account), it will give you a countdown of how many days until you arrive.

I recently hit the 180 day mark for our August trip and the system wouldn't let me book 180+10 on-line. I was quite surprised, but the CM when I phoned said you had to phone now. I don't know if it's true or if I just caught the computers on a bad day... My reservation was linked to my MDE account [along with multiple others, which might have been the issue].

The impression I get is te MDE system is amazing when it works, but often it doesn't, so be prepared to phone if necessary.

Our 180 day mark is tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it goes trying to book online.

Thanks Dray! I only really care about BoG. The others I want aren't a super big deal:

Sanaa
California Grill (still on the fence about this one)
Hoop Dee Doo/Luau (we haven't decided yet)
Ohana
Yak & Yeti
50's Prime
Teppan Edo
Dine w/an Imagineer

Believe it or not, we're going to do BoG 3 or 4 times this trip. We're going to have 5 days in the MK and yes, we are that picky.....

Operation "Reservations" was a success! I got to work at 5:02am CST and promptly sat my behind down at the nearest kiosk. By 5:25am I had every single reservation except for our final day, which is because it's the 11th day. Just a tip for anyone trying to do this online, do NOT use the reservation feature that shows up on the Dining Locations page. Make sure you hover over the Dining section under the Things to Do tab and you'll see the Make a Reservation option. Click on that and then narrow down your date, time, and location. It will show three available times. Using the other option will bring up the Busy Server screen, this will not. I also found it easier to store my CC info so I wouldn't have to keep entering it for each place. We did get our 3 BoG ressies, so that was nice. The only disappointment was trying to get a 6pm ressie at T-Rex, but it only gave me the option of 5pm and 8pm. I'll just have to call them directly and get a 6pm table.

Our last stay was 11 nights, and I was concerned with whether I would be able to book that last night without having to call back to do it. I was able to do all 11 on the same phone call. I wasn't sure if it was 10 days AFTER the 180 mark, or if it was 10 days, INCLUDING the 180 day mark. Apparently, it is that first day, then PLUS 10 more, for a total of 11 days of ressies you can book at once.

It's worth it, try the grey stuff it's delicious!!!! Actually if you haven't yet try to make reservations for 4:00 when dinner begins. All of the staff is lined up and applaud you on your way in. Nice extra bit of magic.

Which room/wing should we try to get? I know I can't reserve a particular area. I'm talking about asking when we get there for our ressie.

Depends totally on you. The West Wing is pretty dark, small, most of (all of?) the food gets wheeled out through this room, and lightnining/thunder crashes so often so it can be noisy/busy. Plus everyone coming over to take a picture of the rose. The ballroom is much larger, quieter atmospherically, but more people so the conversation volume can get a bit loud as there is nothing in the room to divide it up. Don't think they typically seat in the other room for dinner, but you can go stick your head in to look around if you want.

We've only been once last September and we were seated in the main hall, right before you enter the room with the rose. It was awesome.

I got two of the ressies at 4:15, you think they'll still be lined up and clapping for folks by then?
