How long are people usually on hold for the reservation line? Im just calling to add a room request to my reservation, and its been 15 minutes so far on hold, but feels like FOREVER! To those people who wait 30+ minutes for dining reservations, i've decided you are crazy! Maybe they are short staffed since it's Super bowl sunday? :p

I can honestly say that I have never waited more than 15 minutes! Maybe it is just luck. I called this Saturday am and prepared myslef for a long wait time but a rep answered as soon as all of the prompts ended! Try calling on a weekday morning. That I when I made alot of mine.

The reservation web site was down for days so everyone was calling. The site is back up and easy to use. I tried the phone on Sunday too and never got in.

That's why I don't bother any longer and just call Kingdom Konsultants. I'll save my wait times for trying to get the computer fixed...:brick:

The next time you need a reservation, call Kingdom Konsultant (one of this site's sponsors) and let them do the waiting for you. They even monitor your ressie for a new discount and automatically apply w/o you having to lift a finger. Two thumbs way up for KK :king:!

Anytime we ever call it's a long wait. It was even hard to find the proper number to call. Clearly they want us do it all on-line.

I got lucky when doing a booking on Thursday and got right through but hold times of 30 minutes or more are not uncommon right now. Yet another reason to send myself or one of my other com padres at KK an email and let us deal with the hassle.

The recent computer upgrade has meant new system glitches that the CMs are having to deal with right now, which means they spend more time on the phone with individuals calling in which means longer wait times on hold right now. I know I spent about 15 minutes on hold on Sunday before I finally got through. I wanted to make a payment towards my June trip but the CM couldn't get the transaction to post. She ended up putting me on hold so she could talk to her manager and then ended up putting me on hold a second time so she could talk to guest relations (as suggested by her manager) to see if they could get the transaction to post with no luck. Since my reservation wasn't at a critical point where the lack of payment would mean I would lose my reservation, they asked me if I would mind calling back in a few days once they got that particular glitch figured out since her manager said it was a known problem and they were working on it.

Amen to the travel agent usage. KK isn't my local agent, but I know people who use them with amazing results.

Agents are the best! I gave up calling and waiting myself a long time ago.

Speaking of online reservations, when will the new dining website be up?

stupid question about KK

O.K. I've been to Disney 4 or 5 times. anything to make booking easier would be great! Do KK actually work for Disney or is this an independent organization? Let me rephrase: can I call Disney to make rservations and ask to speak to KK? Iv'e booked through AAA before and was somwhat helpless to get any info. out of disney themselves after I did , they said I had to deal w/ AAA because I booked through them, and getting answers from AAA was like pulling teeth so after that we just did it ourselves and t was much easier we thought. So, what's the deal with KK?:veryconfu

We are an independent agency. You would need to call or email us directly. I can tell you this from having been both a KK customer and AAA customer, the difference in service is night and day. Us KK agents eat, breath and sleep Disney where as at AAA, Disney is just one of the things that they offer in a supermarket of options. When a KK agent tells you that Hoop De Do review is a hoot or that MNSSHP is a blast it is because we have done these things and not just read about them on line or in a brochure. We also pride ourselves on a quick response especially when it comes to a problem or a change.

Give us a shot then next time you plan a Disney trip and I'll guarantee that you won't regret it.

AAA is always a pain.

KK is an agent, and all changes would need to be made through them, but you are talking about a much better level of service. They'll take care of you without the "pulling teeth" feeling.

I'd rather be on hold with WDW than with any other company in the world. They have the BEST hold music. :ROFLOL:
