I sell Insurance at a AAA office in Florida. You would not believe how many 1 day tickets we sell every day. Some people don't know or can afford the day and don't mind.

Them closing the great movie ride was a big loss. It took up a nice chunk of time. It was LITERALLY the BASE LINE MINIMUM of being worth a full day ticket for me. As far as much to do in the park goes. But now? Just went a few days ago (park hopper), we did everything before noon.

When a park solely relies on photo opportunities and meet n' greets to be named MAIN "attractions," there's something wrong. I WILL say this forced me to go see the frozen singalong show which is SOOOOOO much better than I was expecting! It's actually pretty hilarious and fun!

I agree with everything, but I have never seen Frozen and I am not doing the sing a long. Imagine a 60 yr old man in with a bunch of children trying to sing. They would arrest me (for my singing).

Sigh, not this again. Clearly, no one should ever buy a 1 day ticket to any of the parks...even the Magic Kingdom. It's simply too expensive on a one day basis. Stay 6 days and your per day expense is extremely reasonable for non stop entertainment.

Get off the soap box about 1 day ticket prices in general. DHS is a mess, but people have been using this shallow argument for years. It didn't make sense before DHS was a ghost town and doesn't make sense now.

So, you agree then. Not sure what your issue is.

Like others have said if you’re paying full price to go to DHS right now that’s on you.

I never understand these threads. You're on vacation. Just have fun. I can use one day of a multi day ticket and go to a park for 3 hours. It doesn't bother me.

If someone else is going for a few hours or an entire day with a one day ticket- definitely doesn't bother me.

Problem is money if you have a family. One day at MK comes in at about $1,000 for a family of four and when you add it all up. $900 at least.

I'm not going to argue with the fact that Disney is costly, it is. $1000-$900 for a day though??

$453 tickets (4 adult tickets)
$20 parking
$150 food (2 quick service and some snacks)

$623- still a hefty chunk of change but throwing out $1000 seems a little dramatic.

It’s not $1000 for one day at MK for a family of four. Sit down and do the math.

While you’re at it, calculate eating and entertainment for 12 hours going somewhere else at least somewhat comparable. Another theme park perhaps...

How did MK survive all those years as a day trip park with no other parks???? Your logic is a fail.

So would you like to go back to 1 park? Times are different now and there is a lot more to do. You’re going to pay for it.

Flight of Passage and Festival of the Lion King aren’t cheap to build and staff.

Disney doesn’t make unreasonable margins at the parks. It’s an extremely tough business and they make a fair, not exorbitant profit doing it.

I just get exasperated by people ever even questioning 1 day ticket prices. Disney World is just not set up to be a one day proposition, so the 1 day ticket prices should be completely irrelevant.

There is almost no situation I could think someone would need or want a 1 day ticket to Hollywood Studios...so yes, I agree it’s ridiculous. Typically, people bring it up in a snide manner as a dig to Disney’s ticket pricing. It’s totally irrelevant to the value proposition.

Hey, if people are foolish enough to spend $114 on a 1-day ticket, that's on them. Some businesses thrive on the fact that some people will make very poor choices with their money.
