well this was a odd day for baseball, what exactly was going on in Chicago???? nearly 5 hours for the first game, then the big blow up by Alou in the 2nd game. I'll be glad when post season play arrives! ~ let's go Cards~

Well, he's been "sick" and not playing (2 games)...but yet he was found partying the other night after a game where he was "unable to play" so...he hasn't been suspended...but he's been benched for an undisclosed amount of time.

Gabe Kapler...who took his position in left field...last night...made a diving grab last night...and made a snab back at the wall...and also hit the game winning home run.

Come on Redbird fans, where are you??? Yeah Sammy was pretty good in game one, but Alou took all the glory out of game one by his baby antics in game 2. Yeah, I am Illinois born and Raised but my heart belongs to the Cards !!! (and the Blues).

Nah, you're not....I'm right here in Gaww-ja, though the Braves are the only Atlanta team I really could care less about. (I think it's that way in Atlanta pretty much, too, tho the Falcons were getting a lot of buzz before Vick went down.)

Buuut...even though I have loved the Braves since I was 10, a good chunk of my heart is in the Northeast, so I feel kinda compelled to follow the New York and New England teams, as well, so yeah, I'm weird like that...

But the Braves played in Boston before any of us were born, too, so it all comes full circle. :-D

So as far as the Cubs go...
They cheated Alou out of a GREAT hit. So I was watching when they came back from commercial and the sportcasters are saying that there was a near scuffle between Alfonseca and Alou with the Ump. And here I am looking for a Fight * Go Alou, punch him, punch him*and I was disappointed cause they did not tape it.
Just found out I am heading out to Milwaukee on Friday to watch the Cubs brutalize the Brewers! <Hopefullly:animwink:
