Confession: I did make up the triangle wheels myth. I initially thought you meant I misinterpreted sarcasm from @Lilofan, which is also still possible. Powered carts probably exist, but not to me, if that were the case.

It's weird you think you know what kind of cart we had. Human powered, no buttons. I'm told the carts had triangle wheels until 1997, though, so the round wheels were quite the luxury.

I worked merchandise at Hollywood Studios on Sunset/Animation Courtyard. A lot of people seem to think you just get screamed at all day, but it is so much better than any other retail or amusement job I have had. Most of the guests are happy to be there. That would make sense. Some of the shops you could see computers and desks inside, so they probably could have been fairly easily converted into a more usable form. The whole area/park is still odd for navigation in a mostly non-endearing way.
