I agree with maelstrom. My DW resisted getting a passport when we cruised in the caribbean for our honeymoon. I argued the safety aspects of having a passport when out of the country. She ended up getting one "to make me happy" but has frequently said how glad she is to have it since. There...
But, somehow the rumour mill circulates it in advance. Plus, it usually opens a couple of days earlier for Chase Disney Visa card holders so the general public knows it's coming once that's been announced.
We didn't have a great experience with the handicapped entrance. When they asked my DW if she could transfer and she said "yes" they had her WALK a LONG way and up a flight of STAIRS to near the back of the theatre. Transfer to me means something a little less strenuous and definitely a lot...
The Pirates party was on the 2nd night when we cruised as well. However, the one of the crew members told me that the night isn't fixed. Apparently, they adjust the evening schedules sometimes based on weather forecasts. But, they'll let you know on your navigator the night before.
I ran the math on a tracphone a couple of months ago and decided that it was WAY more economical to stick with my YAK phone card and use pay phones to reach people. Plus, at wdw, there are internal phones around that allow you to reach disney dining (and other internal numbers) without paying...
I don't have any pictures because I am also eagerly awaiting my first AKV stay.
I was definitely among the excited masses when they announced AKV! Then, we actually managed to score a Jambo House 1 story Grand Villa for our January trip! Wow, I still can't quite believe it!
Last I heard, they had discontinued production of these. However, they were great, so I'll keep hoping they return. If you find them easily in stores near you, you may want to stock up.
Was it near the leaping frog fountains? I seem to remember a similar experience somewhere. I agree, I...
When are you going? After Jan 1, 2008 they might require a passport to drive across the border as well (the reports seem to vary regularly but it is definitely coming sometime soon).
I was worried about the reports of long waits for passports and delayed renewing mine because of it. But, I...
Yes, I agree with you. I have many friends who talk about wdw this way. They seem to miss the fact that Walt's goal was to create a place where people of ALL ages could have fun.
I used to think this way..."someday I'll go to wdw". But, 3 years, a DVC membership and many trips...
The parks are generally clean.
But, some of the bathrooms aren't so clean & tidy. However, I blame that on other guests, instead of the cleaning crew. I mean, really, how hard is it to flush, or to put your paper in the toilet?
Keys to the Kingdom Tour & the Railroad Tour!
I keep having that problem too...somehow, either BB is closed for refurbishment, or something gets in the way of us making it to the waterpark.
Ditto!
Yes! And a couple of hours in the park without any other guests. Can you imagine all...
Sorry to be the dissenting voice, but I don't recommend trying EE unless you do it at the end of the day.
I have always had trouble with motion sickness. By using ginger oil, and dramamine on days when I expect to hit too many of them back-to-back, I can ride all of the Mtns, ToT, Test...
