I'm happy to be a new FT cast member, but...

Unfortunatly, as a Cast Member I must agree with your post. Its sad but very true. While I enjoy working for Disney Its still hard to oversee the fact that I am still working for a giant money-guzzling corporation that is out to make lots of money and keep its shareholders happy. Disney is a...

    Which deluxe resort?

I haved stayed at both the Yacht and Beach Club and prefer the Yacht Club out of the two. The Yacht Club is nice, quiet, and all the rooms have full balconies. Just beware that its a big convention resort so you may see alot of business people if you stay during a convention. Stormalong Bay is...

    booking on property

Yes, there is a limited-time promotion offered where you can book your next WDW trip at a discount rate if you book during your stay before you leave. If the promotion is being offered you will find a flyer in your room with more info. The flyer usually gives you a special number to call from...

I'm happy to be a new FT cast member, but...

Disney has over 60,000+ cast members, if they offered relocation assistance for all the company would go broke. You also need to keep in mind that relocation assistance is not usually offered by Florida companies, so its not just Disney.

Can you access the "Hub" from home?

Yes, you can access The Hub online from any computer. Of course you need your Disney network ID and password in order to enter the website. 10 Month Hospitality Program @ WDW

College Programers - Good or Bad?

Re: I have to disagree with that last sentence. I am actually a local myself and I have been looking into the WDWCP because even though I already live in this area it still takes me about an hour to get to Disney and I believe the program would be great for my career goals and life...

    Fall/ Fall Advantage 2007 CP

Right now im kind of on the balancing scale and unfortunately starting to lean towards not doing the program. Im actually a local in Central Florida and my school has been giving me a hard time with granting credits for the program, they have only offered me 3 elective credits for the entire...

    CP - Fall 2007

Good & Bad News :( After discussing the program with my school and realizing several different factors I have been pretty much cornered in to decide not to do the program. My school rejected my request to get full credit for all WDWCP courses and instead only offered me one elective credit for...

    taking my car

You'd be surprised, Orlando is just as bad as Miami now. Theres too many people and not enough roads! Or at least not CONVENIENT roads, its either heavy stop-and-go traffic on the main roads or gridlocked highways during rush hour. :hammer:

    taking my car

As a local I can tell you; What you'll have to worry more about then even Florida drivers is the tourists. Disney is a very heavily touristy area as you probably already know and the roads are PACKED with tourists, most of whom are probably lost and resort to unsafe manuveurs like last-minute...

    taking my car

I live in Orlando, and I strongly recommend that you bring your own car down, Orlando is BIG and it takes a while to get from place to place, so unless you want to stay secluded in the world of Disney with no freedom to ride around I highly recommend you bring your car. There is an ALTERNATIVE...

RE: Scar Junior Scar Junior, Thanks very much for your reply. I understand what your trying to get to and I'll take your advice into account. I also understand that I am being picky; However, please allow me to explain, I am picky because this program would play a major role in my life, not...

    CP - Fall 2007

Thanks for the reply. I hate the fact that im not guarnteed a hospitality role, so im guessing that I could bring my resume and show strong interest for the hospitality role during the interview and hopefully that would significantly improve my chances for this role, right? So, In the worst case...

    Backstage Secret or no?

After reading through this thread im surprised that no one has mentioned the internet as a key source of outdoor backstage access to any theme park. I have basically seen the backstage of every Disney park on the computer screen without ever setting a foot on those actual areas. No here comes...

    Disney Police

I understand what your getting to as far as the reliability of Wikipedia. However, I believe that in this case the Wikipedia description is very accurate.
